Stock market data systems
[edit]It is of course essential that stock market data be distributed to stock and bond buyers and sellers.
In the past, data was first passed on by word of mouth. Then there was a "ticker" which any broker could subscribe to, and which recorded all transactions on a printed tape.
Next there were quotation boards. The most primitive was a large chalk board at the front of an office, attended by one or more persons who read the ticker and chalked in the price of any stock which had been chosen to appear on the board. This was followed by an automated electric board, which got data from the ticker.
In the 1950's there appeared "stock market quotation systems", which were small keyboard-printers on a broker's desk. He could enter a stock symbol on his keyboard, and instantly get back the latest price of that stock, along with other information about it.
I could not find a Wikipedia article on this subject, though there is one on "Ticker Tape", which mentions they are obsolete and gives a reference to "Computer Networks"
I believe such an article would be of interest to many readers.

AdPack USA
[edit]AdPack USA is a New York-based tissue-pack advertising company. Founded in 2004, AdPack USA is a division of ITOCHU International, the North American subsidiary of Japan's ITOCHU Corporation.
AdPack USA develops strategies and alternative advertising options through unique "adspaces." Adspaces include tissue packs, tissue boxes, wet wipes and bamboo fans.
Environmentally-friendly
[edit]AdPack USA developed eco-friendly products and services; the packaging and the tissues in the green tissue packs are made from renewable resources and are biodegradable, and their resources are harvested and replanted in New Growth forests. New Growth forests exchange CO2 and oxygen at a much faster rate than Old Growth forests, and therefore reduce the impact of carbon gases on the environment.

- For this proposed article you seem to have everything here, however there should be some kind of claim to importance, so that the readers know why this company should have an entry in the encyclopedia. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:56, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
