Topics has satisfying the criteria to become a featured topic. --Iggy488 (talk) 03:13, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am not sure how you can list yourself as the contributor when you are a new user who has made no contributions to any of the pages in the list! The instructions on this are clear: "If you nominate something you have worked on, note it as a self-nomination. Nominators who are not significant contributors to the articles of the topic should consult regular editors of the articles prior to nomination." The main contributors on these three pages are Tim riley and me, both of whom you should have alerted. – SchroCat (talk) 06:31, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree that the scope could be expanded to include other articles but that is conversation to have with contributors to the topic. This is a pretty bad faith nomination where an user has nominated other people's work as their own without any attribution. I think we should consider closing this unsuccessful based on that. I also doubt this is a "new" user as their second edit was to nominate an article for Featured Article [[1]], 10th edit was nominating this for featured topic [[2]], created a Laurence Olivier Wikibook with their 11th edit[[3]], 22nd edit to nominate another list for FLC [[4]]. • Closed as a failed nomination This is largely due to a lack of discussion, and concerns about the topic's completeness raised by other edtiors. If renominated, the contributors to the topic should be notified beforehand.-- 21:11, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Priyanka Chopra is one of the most popular actresses of the mainstream Hindi cinema. She is known for her portrayal of unconventional characters in several films. I am nominating this for featured topic as I think it satisfies the criteria. --FrankBoy CHITCHAT 14:32, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose unfortunately, her singer and Miss World careers are not covered in these 2 subarticles. With 3 albums she might pass the notability threshold to deserve a discography FL, and Miss World 2000 might have to become GA/FL for this topic to pass. Don't worry about deleting this page. I am guessing it will be soon quick-closed or something. Nergaal (talk) 15:41, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note: I have worked hard on this topic and I won't let anyone to ruin my articles history. Now, when you are ready to face a nomination and can try to pass it in one go. Here comes a guy, who nominates your hard work without any information/discussion/notice and it feels like you have lost your everything. I have worked hard on this topic even during my exams this year on the last article, which passed FL. So, I guess why anyone would do that? I want an immediate deletion of thia page and Not closure. If my contributions to wikipedia is anything then, please listen to my words. I request a speedy deletion. I wanted to take this to FT in its first attempt. So, please respect my contributions and if not my hard work and please delete this. Thank You.—Prashant 16:46, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Prashant!: Nominating a topic for FTP does not require or lessen someone's contrbutions from that topic. I have properly credited you as the main contributor of the topic. I didn't know that you are so protective about your topic. Anyways, not to worry. I withdraw the nomination, and you can later renominate. Sorry! -- FrankBoy CHITCHAT 17:08, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You think a sorry is the medicine to cure this damage? No. First of all I am only concerned with its history as now a history wwill be it failed featured topic nomination. Its not my fault but yours. Your's even 10000 sorry will not be able to cure the pain, which I got today. If it was your delibrate attempt to ruin the article history then I am sorry for you and the person who told you to do this and I know who he is? I asked deletion and not anything less.—Prashant 17:14, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
**@Prashant!: I really think you need to take a step back, calm down, then read WP:AGF. You've personally attacked someone twice now, once on their talk page and now here, for nominating an article they thought you did a good job on. Relax. PureRED (talk) 17:33, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • 100% agree with Chris K. Prashant feel free to take a look at anything I've authored and nominate it for csd, afd, FA GA, add lots of stuff make it better. It's why we are here to help me and help you. We don't just have private articles once we publish them. We collaborate, take a break come back when you are less upset. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 17:56, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thoughtful Note First off, I hate to see a good editor get frustrated, anybody who has been here long enough has seen it, and most likely experienced it at some point; I have been there before, and have been at the point where I was ready to quit so I empathize. That being said, the reaction of this experienced editor is extremely negative and appears misguided. It should be celebrated that an article or topic that you worked hard on got nominated for featured status! If it fails, it should be celebrated that you got others eyes on it in the community, and that the community provided resources (via peer review) that will enable it to be made better as a whole. It is arrogant to say "I do not want community review" because it will "ruin the article." All that does is serve to separate an editor from the community that they operate in, and not in a positive way. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 18:20, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Was not aware of featured topic. Just saw Lorde and I thought it was okay to include an overview, but other sub-articles need to be included, too. I guess I have learned from it; will not attempt any FTC (from other editor) ever again! GamerPro64 or Juhachi: CAN YOU ARCHIVE THE NOMINATION? --FrankBoy CHITCHAT 18:31, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, someone will close this nomination. You need not shout. Calm down! Vensatry (ping) 18:51, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Everyone drops the stick and back away from the carcass slowly it's been dead so long it's flowers. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 18:54, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I just got wind of this and I very disappointed about Prashant's behavior here. It is very unprofessional and uncalled for. FrankBoy also didn't need to shout like what Vensatry said. Since I'm not an admin I'm not deleting this nomination. I will, however, Close due to Nomination Withdraw. If anyone else here has any issues, address them in my talk page. Discussion here is closed. GamerPro64 19:05, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Latin Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album is an accolade given since 2000. The main article about the award is a Featured List and three articles about the winning albums are Good Articles, so I think this meets the criteria to be included as a Good Topic. Thank you. --Javier Espinoza (talk) 20:54, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, maybe I am mistaken, but after I saw the topic for Smallville (season 1), which includes only a one featured article and a good article out of 21 possible articles for the rest of the season, almost the same for the Supernatural (season 1 and 2), I thought I had a chance.
