14th Dalai Lama[edit]

Nominator(s): Johnlemartirao (talk)

I am nominating this for featured article because of the extensive effort of the Dalai Lama to protect his fellow Tibetans. He made some possible actions and still doing actions to protect the right of Tibetans as well as Buddhist faith, His Holiness is an icon of religion, peace, unity and protection. I am nominating this article, without any intervention against Chinese government. Johnlemartirao (talk) 09:58, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Have you consulted the major authors of this article, as required by the instructions at the top of WP:FAC? This isn't a bad article, but I don't think it's really near featured; there's an apparently unresolved neutrality banner, there are unreferenced paragraphs, and the prose is sometimes lacking. The article is also very quote heavy, has some extremely short sections, and is written at times from a style unsuitable for Wikipedia. With all due respect, Johnlemartirao, your nominating statements for this article and the two others I've seen you nominate here suggest to me that you don't really get what the featured article program is all about. Recommend withdrawal or delisting on the basis that major contributors don't appear to have been consulted. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 13:23, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving this premature nomination as the Featured article instructions were not followed. Maralia (talk) 18:29, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
