OriginalAlice C. Evans, first female president of the Society of American Bacteriologists, proved that the same bacterium caused contagious abortion in cattle and undulent fever (Brucellosis in humans, amongst other things.
Reason
A very nice photo - a little luminous, but that's a 1910s photographic convention, I think - either you dump the people deep into shadow, or you make them glow. One of the two. #10wikicommonsdays Day 7
