Original – The Common Map butterfly, Cyrestis thyodamas
Reason
A rather nice, sharp photo that rather shows how it gets its name, the "Common Map". Saw this on Commons, quite liked it.

  • Weak oppose Upside down shot, I think butterflies generally look better with the head-on-top view. That can be fixed by flipping, but the right wing (from viewer's perspective) is probably damaged. Otherwise an FP-worthy species. Brandmeistertalk 15:45, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose A poor specimen, with damaged wings. Distracting/confusing background - what's that, bits of straw? Background focus is inconsistent. And it's facing the wrong way. (Also, for anybody interested, the article is in serious need of cleanup) Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 23:16, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
