Reason: A major enlightenment literary and historical figure deserves a featured picture. This Victorian steel engraving is stunningly detailed - would you believe the original is no bigger than an index card? - and serves as an attractive introduction to her. Would you believe I found this book in the bargain bin at a charity shop for £2?
