Synagogue at Nuremberg[edit]

Original - The Pegnitz shore and synagogue, Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany, c. 1890-1900.
Reason
A good example of late nineteenth century photochrom technology in a high resolution file. Idyllic, but note the location: Nuremberg, Germany--as in the Nuremberg rallies, the Nuremberg laws, and the Nuremberg trials. The domed building in the skyline is a synagogue destroyed in August 1938. Restored version of Image:Nurembergsynagogue.jpg.

  • Support. There are a lot of great photochrom images out there, and this is one of them. Encyclopedic and very attractive.--ragesoss (talk) 20:14, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
