  • Object, a number of issues that still need to be fixed:
    • The picture needs an explicit image credit.
    • Thumbnail formatting (in the "Article of the Week") causes formatting faults with the background color, and should be removed.
    • The [edit] links on the rotating content should go directly to the content, not to a subpage that transcludes it. In other words, rather than including Portal:Mathematics/Featured article in the portal and only having the rotation code in it, bring the rotation out to the portal itself.
    • The formatting of the picture subpage is utterly bizarre; it's labeled as the "Article of the Week", and the edit links take one there. Kirill Lokshin 01:11, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    OK, in order...
    • I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by "image credit". I can't see anythign that might be called an image credit on Portal:Biography (the first featured portal I could lay my hands on), neither does Portal:Food (the first on the list of featured portals). I also wasn't aware this was a requirement.
    • Sorry, no can do. If the image is to have captions (as Wikipedia:What is a featured portal? point 5 requires) then it must be of type "frame" or "thumb". If it is to be any size other than the uploaded size, then it must be thumb. (See Wikipedia:Extended_image_syntax#Type).
    • Fixed
    • What "picture subpage"????? I honestly have no idea what you mean... please give links. If you mean the "picture of the month", the edit link on that goes to the correct place.

    Ok, let's see
    • I'm not sure about those particular portals—they were promoted some time ago—but all the recent ones have picture credits. For an example, see the picture section on the Main Page.
    • Captions aren't required for all images; but, if we want them here: it's trivial to add captions without using thumbnail markup; see, for example, Portal:War/Intro.
    • The subpage in question is Portal:Mathematics/Featured picture; the box there is set up incorrectly.

    Right,
    • OK, done.
    • Done. (I think this is *really* inelegant way of doing things, but that's MediaWiki's fault, not yours).
    • Ahh... the <noinclude> stuff... Anyway, done.
    Tompw 12:18, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nice work on the first two, but the noinclude stuff on the subpage seems to still point to the wrong place. Kirill Lokshin 14:10, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    Done. :-) Tompw 15:12, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. A well-organized portal. I agree about the topics section, very original. Michaelas10 (Talk) 17:26, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
