Guidance on making images available at sensible resolutions
Improvements to any pages relating to Joseph Wright (we have huge information resources)
Derby Museums page - needs enhancing. We've lots of history files, and some old photos that could be scanned.
Improvements to any pages related to The Enlightenment and the Derby/Midlands people involved.
Royal Crown Derby is a fairly recent company when compared to Derby porcelain. Task here is to sort out the two histories and relationship to Chelsea etc.
Lower Priority
George Sorocold: someone to add our additional reference sources to this page (Derbys.Arch.Soc)
Orphans (aah Articles that could be written - The museum has the knowledge!)
Frank Gresley - there are actually four notable Gresley artists. Frank is amongst those in Derby's collection. This source includes other artists who feature in the gallery's collection.
Derby Museum Orrery - the museum commissioned a modern copy of the Grand Orrery in Wright's painting. Its a masterpiece of craftsmanship and has an electric motor to drive it. Public domain videos of it can be made available.
Ronald Pope - Derbyshire sculptor. (we've quite a few of his works, and have the support of one of his daughters who has supplied images)
Rolls Royce Eagle Engine - derby has one of Alcock and Brown's engines that first crossed the atlantic.
Thistle Plate - add image of a wonderful decorated ceramic plate to the page on Musk Thistle.
