Judges' Lodgings, Lancaster

A tour and editathon were held at Judges' Lodgings, Lancaster on 20 September 2014. Lunch and refreshments were provided and admission charges waived.

What

The tour provided Wikipedians with more information about the museum, in order to gain an understanding of the potential for writing articles about objects in the venue's collection. People with cameras can take pictures or video. Judges' Lodgings is itself a Grade I listed Building, so photographs of it or its interiors are eligible for entry into Wiki Loves Monuments 2014, provided you upload them before the end of the month.

An editathon is where Wikipedia editors work collaboratively to create and develop encyclopedia articles, making use of access to archives and other resources, provided on the day.

Who

Anyone may attend. That includes experienced Wikipedians, and contributors to other Wikimedia projects, but also people new to the projects, who would like to know more. Help will be on hand for people who have not edited or uploaded media before.
