Should this include Cyprus as well?Slogankid 12:24, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I wasn't able to find a way to show Greece, Turkey and Cyprus at the same time on the top left-hand corner, so I chose the bilateral Greece-Turkey template. However I will try to find a way to include flag(s) of Cyprus in some way. Maybe a geographical map of Cyprus :) Baristarim 00:36, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've since replaced the image with an accordingly more appropriate one. Let me know what you think. Plot Citizen (talk) 16:50, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Articles in need of attention

[edit]
  • Ongoing discussion at the Template talk:Cyprus-stub. Since there is no TRNC-stub, this led to an edit-war with the involvement of some administrators over the use of the Cyprus flag. It is currently under full protection, and the discussion seems to be straying off topic, so the involvement of a larger audience from the board would be useful, whatever the eventual outcome. Baristarim 18:22, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Please have a look at the article's talk page to see what's been proposed to get this article back on track. I was invited, as a neutral party, to attempt the resuscitation of a B-class entry. Please read the new editing rules prior to adding or revising material on the article page. Cordially, Drieux 01:03, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have serious reservations on the page Cyprus Invasion and am not sure where to discuss this. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the url to my talk page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:62.190.46.162 which unfortunately, in the heat of the moment touches on ranting but it is something I feel passionately about and that can be easily ammended without causing offence to either side. Any relevant discussion would be welcomed.
  • Northern Cyprus — We could use a fresh infusion of new editors who can help deal in a balanced manner with the existence of the TRNC, the territorial claims of the TRNC vs. the Republic of Cyprus, etc., etc. Major NPOV issues here, with editors on each side insisting that attempts at NPOV are in fact POV for the other side. This page has a long history of IP vandalism (currently semi-protected), as well as frequent activity by suspected or proven sockpuppets. Probably not a venture for the faint of heart. • The Cyprus Dispute is being presented in a very subjective, pro Greek Cypriot way. Claiming that the dispute is between the so called "Republic of Cyprus", kidnapped by the Greek Cypriots in 1963, ousting the Turks from government institutions and attempting massacres over the said people, and Turkey is not correct. Why did the United Nations realise rounds of intercommunal talks, for many years by now, between the Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities of Cyprus, if the conflict was between "Cyprus" and Turkey? I request impartial and objective administer help.--E4024 (talk) 21:26, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • The Cyprus dispute article. I was seeking to read it to read up on the situation, but a NPOV tag has been placed on the page and I'm not sure what to take seriously from it as I am not an expert on this. Someone put a pretty heated notice on the Talk page as well. I wanted to let you know as I thought this team might be able to help or to clarify this page. -TenorTwelve (talk) 05:54, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Articles in need of general improvement

[edit]

Hello: I tried to get an edit through that was trying patch up some unintended pain that I caused as relating to Greco-Turkish war, but someone got my account and now they are trying to change my password! I wrote the e-mail as an apology for the strongly worded passage I wrote in January, 2007. I, as well as many people on both sides of the issue, still experience pain over this history. I wanted to let any of the Turks ( and any Greeks, too) who felt put off in any way by that entry that I wrote with strong words because of the pain, not because I wanted to attack anyone. Also I have learned a great deal about this terrible tragedy since I wrote about it last year. I am th one who lost her great great grandfather in the war and I understand there were many losses on both sides. And many of them civilian, even... Sincerely, NN

I doubt sincerely that anybody looks here but all the same will request your visit and contribution to this Discussion Page. Of course I also expect your participation in the creation of an objective article. Thanks. --E4024 (talk) 21:37, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I request all the interested (and not interested :-) users to join a discussion about renaming and restructuring this article so that it may reflect the through municipal administration(s) of Nicosia, i.e. two different municipalities,; even before the Republic of Cyprus was established. --E4024 (talk) 12:17, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
