Drafting is the process of building an article on a topic in preparation for moving it to mainspace.

Definition of a Draft:  ???

Things are are not drafts are not covered by this guideline.

Drafts may be drafted in:

  1. Mainspace (if they begin already meeting WP:STUB within 10 minutes)
  2. DraftSpace
  3. UserSpace

(spinout drafting that sometimes occurs on mainspace talk subpages is superseded by draftspace)

Deletion:

Mainspace drafts may be CSD-ed, AFD-ed, PRODed.
DraftSpace and UserSpace drafts may not be CSD0ed under the A* criteria, but by new D* criteria, enumerated below, subject to agreement and adoption at WP:CSD.
D criteria, intiially based on the A criteria, but written differently.

Time limits and auto-processing

DraftSpace has time limits (the G13 process).
UserSpace time limits to be discussed.
If there is to be a time limit, on reaching the time limit, the page is tobe automatically moved to Draftspace, and there the DraftSpace time limit clock begins.
