From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Indiana Humanities, the Indiana Historical Bureau, the Indiana State Library, the Indiana Historical Society, and the Indiana Department of Historic Preservation and Archaeology have teamed up to host a Hoosier Women in STEM Edit-a-thon on Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Indiana State Library and Historical Bureau in Indianapolis.

Hoosier women are inventors, creators and innovators—we question, we tinker, we imagine. From the development of aerospace technology to the first video game console, Hoosier scientists, engineers, doctors and entrepreneurs have led the way. Join other Indiana history lovers by taking part in this fun and focused day of research, writing, and Wikipedia editing.

The event is free. Complimentary snacks and caffeine will be provided throughout the day, in addition to a free box lunch. Stay for an hour, stay for the long haul. Team up with others or work on your own. Librarians and other experts will be available to assist you. On the day of the event, we’ll provide research materials and step-by-step instructions for editing Wikipedia pages.

Be sure to review this Meetup page before the event, we’ll provide more information and highlights for the day.
