Details

[edit]

The University of Minnesota is home to many accomplished women scientists. Help raise their profile by joining us for UMN Women in STEAMM Wikithon during Women's History Month! You don’t need a background in science and art or experience editing Wikipedia. Just show up with your curiosity and a laptop. We’ll walk you through the rest. It’s a great opportunity to contribute and learn! Whether you have an hour or four, you can make a difference.

  • Share your knowledge
  • Add references to existing pages
  • Build new entries, or
  • Locate open access versions of sources.

Our working theme will be UMN STEAMM faculty and alumni who identify as women with existing Wikipedia pages. Event leaders will be there to help new editors get started, and will share our own best practices document.

Come at any time, but please bring your own device and chargers.
