Afro Free Culture Crowdsourcing Wikimedia (AfroCROWD) ​is an initiative seeking to​ increase the number of people of African Descent who edit Wikipedia and actively partake in the Wikimedia and free knowledge, culture and software movements. During this event participants will get free training on how edit Wikipedia​ articles and add images to Wikipedia Commons.​ Wikipedia is the 7th most visited website in the world and a leading online information source​. ​ Wiki​media NYC​ coaches will be on hand for one on one help. All languages and levels of experience are welcome. Light refreshments will be available.
