Life in Canning is a special photographic event Sponsored by Prowest Real Estate supported by the WA Branch of Wikimedia Australia.

Life in Canning is photographic event the aim of the event is to gather photographs from within the City of Canning of life within the city including heritage places, buildings and daily activities effectively creating a digital time capsule. There are prizes being offered by Prowest Real Estate for the best photographs or videos in the following age groups;
- under 9 years - $50
- 9 - 16 years - $50
- 17 - 25 years - $100
- over 25 years - $100
Entries need to be submitted in person on the day, Wikipedians will be on hand to upload the images and capture as much data as possible. Judging will be by Principle Agent and Owner of Prowest, and Wikimedia Australia President.
