The 1st Phoenix Meetup event will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Seamus McCaffrey's pub in downtown Phoenix. This seems like a nice neutral place since we have some people from the east and west valley, as well as Tucson.

There is not set agenda at this time—this is meant to be a meet and greet type event where we can form a good foundation for future meetups, including a weekend meetup after the new year.

Time and date[edit]

7:00pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Everyone is pretty booked up for the weekends through the holidays, so this is probably our best chance to get decent attendance.

Location[edit]

Seamus McCaffrey's pub in downtown Phoenix. Centrally located, and serviced by the light rail. Get off at the Van Buren/Central stop and walk one block south to Monroe. Head west about 200 yards.

Other things[edit]

Anyone needing or offering a ride:

  • I'm in the Southeast Valley if anybody needs a ride. Brandon (talk) 06:30, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello all. I've never been to a Wikipedia-based meetup, but I am definitely curious. I will try to check it out. Hopefully I will be able to find the right table/booth if someone sets up a little flag bearing the Wikipedia globe logo. Ixnayonthetimmay (talk) 05:25, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
