Wikipedia:Meetup/St. Louis 4

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Meetup St. Louis 4 is a follow-up of WP:Meetup 3. It will fall near the date of Wikipedia's 11th year celebration and also the 1-year anniversary of St. Louis' first-ever meetup. Participants of October's meetup are invited to join us again. Another meetup will be scheduled June 23 for strictly social purposes.

Where

Can Kathryn Linnemann library in St. Charles[1] take us again? Would be good if we could get a 3+ hours time slot in January around Wikipedia's 11th anniversary. I could also arrange something with director,User:Tcooperwgpl of Webster Groves Public Library if we want a meetup closer to the St. Louis area.

I can check with KL (or someone else can), but I kind of like the idea of something closer to downtown St. Louis, too.Elonka 05:52, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I let Webster Groves library know. They'll be glad to have us

I'll advertise the event a little bit to see if we can get a few first-time contributors to join us. Marcus Qwertyus 00:12, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Here is an experimental Facebook group for coordinating [2]. Marcus Qwertyus 00:12, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looking forward to the meetup at Webster Groves this Saturday! I'll bring my laptop. --Elonka 16:41, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The meetup after next

[edit]

The second annual Wiknic is a social event held in cities across the nation.

  • Saturday, June 23, at 11am~1pm
  • Forest Park Visitors' Center [3] (map) (aka the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor & Education Center)

We may need some sort of occupancy permit for the next meetup if our group gets too big. Not sure if this applies if we have it outdoors.
