This probably is the first time someone has tried to use furniture polish in a motto, however. Hersfold (talk/work) 17:35, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
      • Reply. Hi. L.m.a.o. The thing is, I usually don't check the links to see what they point to. I didn't know what you meant by furniture polish, until I clicked the link...<font size="">LOL!. What I meant by "behold" was not furniture polish! I just meant the word behold. The reason for this is, according to The Roman Mysteries, "En" was latin for behold. So, the motto would then mean, "Behold! Wikipedia!", a pun off en.wikipedia. If this isn't clear enough, please replace the arrow with a better link. Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 17:50, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
      • Reply to reply - Ha ha, I was wondering what kind of reaction that was going to get. I took the liberty, then, of redirecting your link to Wiktionary and the entry on "Behold" there. Advertising slogan: "Life's pretty straight without Twisties". Confusing Manifestation 05:13, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Comment. I wonder if "straight" could have an explaining link. Depending on what it is, I think it could either make or break the motto. --Tewy 20:25, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

This motto have been temporarily blocked from mottoing Wikipedia for a period of 24 hours as a result of your disruptive mottos. Your motto is free to make constructive mottos after the block has expired, but please note that bad mottos (including motto blanking or addition of random mottos), spam mottos, deliberate mismottos, motto violations, motto attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our neutral motto policy will not be tolerated.

Merry Christmas, from the crew at Motto of the Day!

We've already got something listed for this Christmas, but it's not very holiday-oriented. Since we had a holiday-themed song last year, I propose that we replace the above motto (or another christmasy-type) with the current motto, moving it to the end of the list.
