Addiction Rare in Patients Treated with Narcotics[edit]

I've listed this article for peer review because… I'd like to optimize this article regardless, but I'm mainly wondering if it could even become a featured article. I don't imagine it will get all that much longer than it is now. January 10 would be a good day to run it, but I realize that it would have to attain Featured status first. Comments from Z1720[edit]

@DefThree: I don't think this is ready to be nominated at FAC yet, and I suggest that this goes to WP:GAN first. Here are some comments for improvement for a potential GAN:

  • Look for additional sources and information using WP:LIBRARY, Google Scholar and your local library system.
  • This article is missing information on why this letter was written. What inspired this to be written?
  • The lede should be a summary of every aspect of the article. I suggest that this be expanded upon.

Keep working on this article and trying to add more information. Z1720 (talk) 01:32, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The sources currently consist of the letter itself, two medical journal articles, and nine news outlets. Would it be best to try to emphasize the medical articles and limit the use of the news sources? DefThree (talk) 16:25, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It depends on what the source is supporting. In general, it is best to use medical journals first as sources, especially to verify medical information. However, if you are creating a reception section there might be better sources in news articles. Z1720 (talk) 23:00, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
