I've listed this article for peer review because I want to bring it to FA status in time for YouTube's 20th anniversary. Unfortunately, due to my unforseen Wikibreak, I wasn't able to get as much advice as I wanted.

  • Main image: I was wondering, could you use the thumbnail for the YouTube video as the main image? I'm sure it would be allowed as free use, though the video itself may be disputed.   • Possible copyvio: A copyright violations detector found a possible copyvio. I'd just rephrase the highlighted (in red) sentences to where it doesn't directly copy the text. Yello! Here are my comments on some grammar/prose mistakes or things that can be needed!

  • Lead and infobox:
    • From the previous comments from The Sharpest Lives, I believe the thumbnail would also serve for good use under a free use license. Though the image currently present on the article is up for deletion, so that should probably resolved soon if you're looking to nominate it for FA. You could also upload an image of Jawed Karim, the person present in the video, to serve as visual representation on who Karim is, as there's an image in Commons that's in the Public domain.
    • Add a comma after YouTube's co-founder, so that it would be YouTube's co-founder, Jawed Karim.
      • Added.
  • Background:
    • Hurley studied design at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Karim and Chen studied computer science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign., probably reword to "University of Pennsylvania, while Karim and Chen..."
      • Reworded.
  • Reception:
    • There's a mention of "Me at the zoo" without quotes right after the mention by the Los Angeles Times, that would be changed. Also add a comma after "2009" in that sentence.
      • Added quotes, but didn't add comma (wouldn't really make sense)
    • Add a comma after "Aaron Duplantier" and the title of his book.
      • Done.
  • Legacy:
    • In the last paragraph, I suggest putting the dates of the events within the sentence itself. Example: "The video's description was changed in November 2021..."
      • Done.
    • Add a comma after "Greg Jarboe" and the title of his book.
      • Done.
  • Notes:
    • The bullet refers to List of most-viewed YouTube videos, though the subject of the article isn't present? Either omit or the article linked could be updated listing the video as a former "Most viewed video" as it was for a few moments, technically.
      • Omitted link. The video's view count (as of June 2024) is at 325 million views. It has never once been the most viewed video on YouTube. Also, I couldn't find a reliable source for when it was at its most popular point.
  • References:
    • In reference 20, don't use [sic] as it's not part of the original title.
      • Removed.
    • For the sources utilizing books, you should probably use a "Bibliography" section in the "References" section. The first example I could think of is Qalaherriaq#Bibliography, you could use it as a guide.
      • Will look into it. Done.
  • Other:
    • You could probably squeeze in the words he said in the video. Here's a reliable source that mentions the words he said in the video! [1]
      • Will consider using it. Added.
  • Overall, the article's prose is nice, just a few grammar mistakes here and there. For now, the article's a respectable GA but most of the sections would be extended with more paragraphs hopefully to encompass more information about the subject of the article.
