Military history of Canada[edit]

An article I started back in 2003 that has since been much improved by a number of editors. In the last few weeks I've worked to cover the last omissions with the hope of elevating it to featured article status. At 40kb this article is substantial, but the subject is a large one. One option to somewhat reduce the length would be to move the WWII section to its own article and replace it with a shorter summary of similar size to the WWI section. I also would not be at all surprised if there are still some typos and grammar problems and would be much obliged for any copyediting. - SimonP 00:37, July 14, 2005 (UTC)

It looks pretty good; very comprehensive. A minor point is that there is no mention of Canadian actions following the battle of the Falaise Gap. I know they were involved in clearing the Scheldt estuary so that the port of Antwerp could be opened. They also had a nasty little scrap at Hochwald Forest in 1945. — RJH 15:52, 14 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I like it also. However, I think there should be some kind of picture in the lead; either a modern Canadian soldier or perhaps some historical scene to serve as a "hook". --Scimitar 15:55, 14 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
