Do you intend to make this an FA? If so, its prolly necessary to add more geography info, topography, on people and demographics, wildlife and environment. Perhaps in the history and demographics sections, you could describe how people on either side of the pass have built economic, cultural links over time, what they have in common and in difference. How do the people see the Nathu La pass, in folk tradition, consciousness, etc. What does it mean for Sikkim, India and China?

Also, information on the military arrangements on either side - the border guard, military base. Transportation - roads? air force coverage? How does the opening of the pass propose to change the economy? Was there any traffic or incidents (non-military) prior to re-opening the pass? Any natural weather phenomena, calamities? Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I'll try and get some sources for the above, although getting it up to FA status would be difficult given the paucity of references for the pass. =Nichalp «Talk»= 17:08, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
