Title (album)[edit]

Previous peer review

I've listed this article for peer review because this is my first time preparing an album article for FAC and I would be more comfortable after it got the approval of two or three more pairs of eyes. This article is also fairly big so I want to have some converted supports ready to go as I imagine reviews could get pretty lengthy. I would appreciate advice on anything, from how the lead or other sections could be improved to whether I am mentioning enough about the singles. Anything, really. Much appreciated!

@MaranoFan: I just checked the article briefly. Would you review Basshunter in meanwhile? List of issues of found:

  • "Release history" - no references for CD versions.
    • Added.
  • "Track listing" - "Title – Standard edition" - "Standard edition" is no a name so it shouldn't be capitalised.
  • *Done. I guess this doesn't apply to other versions?
  • Infobox - only one label? At Discogs I can see Sony Music and Russian Ворнер Мьюзик.
  • *It seems Sony was only involved in later releases, which Template:Infobox album discourages from mentioning in infobox.
  • "Personnel" - there is no any digital easly accessible source atleast for part of personnel?
    • No reliable ones, no.
      • Digital version is not less reliable than CD but is more accessible. Eurohunter (talk) 10:37, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
        • Yeah no that's what I meant. It is not freely available digitally from any reliable sources. I guess you can buy one here but that does not fix the accessibility problem.
  • Missing row in "Year-end charts" table.
    • I'm not sure I understand. Can you link to an album article that has this row?
      • @MaranoFan: I man "Weekly charts" has darker chart column and "Year-end charts" should have the same and "Decade-end charts" as well. Eurohunter (talk) 10:37, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Links to redirects.
    • Which ones?
    • I will check article in more detailed way later. Eurohunter (talk) 10:15, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      • Thank you, Eurohunter. I will get to Basshunter as soon as I get time. I had some clarification questions about your review.--NØ 09:20, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@MaranoFan: Continuation:

  • "Initially a songwriter for other artists, Trainor signed with the label in 2014 and began recording material she co-wrote with Kevin Kadish." - she recorded and self-released 3 albums before so it's earlier period or when she recorded these 3 albums she had a lot of writting works for other artists?
  • Specified now.
  • ""All About That Bass", which reached number one in 58 countries and became the best-selling song by a female artist in the 2010s" - there is probably no even 30 major national charts including Hungary, Japan and South Korea so I would skip this information. (lead and "Release and promotion" section)
  • This is sourced to reputed sources and I have not had any problems with this statement on other FACs.
  • ""Like I'm Gonna Lose You", the latter of which features John Legend and peaked at number one in Australia, New Zealand, and Poland." - Polish chart it's airplay chart. (lead and "Release and promotion" section)
  • It is Poland's official chart so I don't see how that changes anything.
@MaranoFan: Yes but I mean Australian and New Zealand charts were sales charts and Polish chart is airplay chart. Eurohunter (talk) 21:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • US and UK everywhere - for me it looks like these two countries has no name. The "United Kingdom" and the "Unite States" really aren't that long to be abbreviated.
  • They're abbreviated on 1989 (Taylor Swift album) so I went with it. I am sure most people know what the US and UK are...
    • Yes but it looks like it's scary to use the full country name. I think in encyclopedia the full name should be introduced atleast for first time and it's good for text diversity (in some way it's use different words than just one word over and over) Eurohunter (talk) 21:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • "between the ages 15 and 17" - is this correct sentence?
  • I think so.
Shouldn't be "between the age 15 and 17"? Eurohunter (talk) 21:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • "These included her eponymous 2009 release, and 2010 albums I'll Sing with You and Only 17" - aren't the last two from 2011 (from discography)?
  • Good catch!
  • "but she insisted on continuing with Kadish: "Kevin's my guy"" - would be cool to have some introduction or further explanation of this quote if possible.
  • I don't think one is available or necessarily needed. It's a common expression: "[Insert XYZ] is my guy", it means you like someone.
  • "Some of the album's material was recorded while Trainor laid on a bed he made in the studio"
  • I am pretty sure it was clear this is referring to Kadish but changed.
  • "When Time's Nolan Feeney asked Trainor what she wanted listeners to hear on Title, she said, "I want to help myself. I want to make sure guys take me on a date and treat me right because I didn't do that in the past. I want to love my body more. I just hope younger girls love themselves more, and younger people in general ..."" - I think there is more sources and interview about it and this topic could be extended.
  • I will look for more.
  • "She deleted her independent albums in the build-up to its release." - What does it mean? She removed albums from iTunes (if it was released there) and withdrew CD from shops (if it was sold in any) or she just stopped sourcing new CD copies or?
  • I am going to stick to the source in the article but I guess what happened was she pulled it from stores.
  • Reference number 24 - "Global"? There never was global version of iTunes it was just the American edition of iTunes. Anyway global is capitalised for no reason.
  • What? The US urls include "us" in the title. This is the global version.
  • "Trainor promoted Title with a series of public appearances and televised live performances. She performed at award shows including the Country Music Association Awards,[92] iHeartRadio Music Awards,[93] Billboard Music Awards,[94] and the American Music Awards.[95] Trainor's appearances on popular television talk shows included The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,[96] The Ellen DeGeneres Show,[97] Today,[98] and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.[99] She was part of the line-up for the Jingle Ball Tour and Today's Toyota Concert Series." - so what exactly was performed? Some summary would be cool.
  • You can consult the single articles for that, on here it gets too lengthy. See 1989 for reference again.
  • "Critical reception" - there is a lot of more reviews in the table - I think section could be extended about atleast one more paragraph or two.
  • I'll see. It would probably be too bloated with more, honestly.
  • "Commercial performance" - no information about number one in UK and its charting.
  • References: There should be title of article than bookmark so for reference 139 it is just "Title (Deluxe Edition) – Meghan Trainor" than "iTunes (U.S.) – Music – Meghan Trainor – Title (Deluxe)". Also it should have url-status dead because it's old iTunes release - not new Apple Music version.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have this page on my watchlist so there is no need for pings. I'm a little burnt out right now so I can't promise I will be able to do that PR, so don't wait for that before you proceed with any nominations you plan for the article. Regards.--NØ 02:45, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
