Iris plant[edit]

A form of Iris, found in the wilderness. Possible Iris aphylla or Iris albertii.

I haven't thought about nominating yet, but I'd like to get some feedback on the quality, composition or anything other that my photographer skills could benefit from.

  • This is also underexposed. I get the impression that it is sitting in direct sunlight. Use something to shade the plant in order to get more pleasing, soft, light. The shutter speed is the same on this one, so I think you might have had your camera in manual. Aperture priority (Av on the dial) at f5.6-8.0 is the way to go. • Thank you very much! That's a handy advice! --Ahnode (talk) 07:43, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • You need to get a definitive species ID if possible before nomination. Same with the other one. MER-C 13:28, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Personally, I like this one better then the above image, and I also think it is a little underexposed. I think the picture is generally dark, was it cloudy that day? --Pstanton (talk) 00:45, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
