Portal:British Empire[edit]

This is a recently created portal about the well-known British Empire. All comments and suggestions intended to provide useful information for future decisions and development would really be beneficial. -- Chris Btalk 14:58, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Maybe change the colors . Soft colors don't look that great in a subject so important. The colors in Portal:Heraldry look good. --Bewareofdog 05:04, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Perhaps a "Did you know" section? I'm sure there is a heap of interesting facts out there, well, at least enough to introduce a new box into the portal. The British Empire is a very important subject, and its portal really should include some more content. I personally find the portal a bit... short... in good time, it'll become better. I'm happy to lend a hand if you need any help. ~ Sebi [talk] 10:49, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Done, thankyou. -- Chris Btalk 11:13, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • An In the news section might also not go amiss, but you should be ready, willing, and available to update it regularly, or at least sometimes. -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 11:45, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's something to think about. The only problem is that since the British Empire doesn't technically exist anymore, I would have a hard time looking for the news in the first place! Although I suppose news of the Commonwealth is possible. -- Chris Btalk 10:46, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Great DYKs! Congratulations on the portal as a whole, it's really well done. :) As I've said, the British Empire is a big topic and to become a featured portal it's going to have to have a lot of information presented properly. And sorry for the late reply, I've been caught up in other things lately. ~ Sebi 05:01, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • How's the latest addition? I'm not sure whether it looks a little scruffy now, but that's probably just me. -- Chris Btalk 17:54, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
