Genome.ch.bbc.co.uk

[edit]

Today I tried to get into genome.ch.bbc.co.uk but the website says it's now expired and now I can’t get into the website to research the information I'm looking for. If you guys know where I can find the information about these programs from Genome on a different website please let me know. Matthew John Drummond (talk) 10:14, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like the website's security certificate expired yesterday. I would expect this to be fixed/updated quite soon. The content is all still there (my browser allows me to continue past the warning message to the website; I'm not sure if all browsers allow this.) Update: it has now been updated and the website is back up and running properly. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 09:27, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good thanks for letting me know. Matthew John Drummond (talk) 21:57, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aria sung in "Becoming Jane" (2007)

[edit]

Near the end of the film "Becoming Jane" (2007) the eponymous Jane Austen attends a gathering to hear an operatic aria sung by a soprano credited as Lynda Lee. Her performance is lovely. Can someone tell me the name or source of the aria? Philvoids (talk) 16:00, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is listed as "Deh vieni, non tardar" by Mozart. 12.116.29.106 (talk) 16:29, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Which is from The Marriage of Figaro, Act 4. --Wrongfilter (talk) 17:13, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb submitting problem.

[edit]

When I've been trying to submit things on IMDb for the past two days it keeps on declining on every submission I make and there not telling me what I'm doing wrong. Matthew John Drummond (talk) 09:19, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds like a problem that IMDB, not Wikipedia, might be able to assist you with. --Viennese Waltz 09:39, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Film identification

[edit]

I saved a Mexican(?) film about street kids(?) who steal some money from a church(?) to buy a lottery ticket, but when I finally got around to watching it, it had been deleted automatically to make more room. It's not in Category:Films about lotteries and my searching has been fruitless. Any ideas? Clarityfiend (talk) 23:14, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a category about Mexican films or Latin American films? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots02:32, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We have Category:Mexican films with many subcats.  --Lambiam 03:43, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Is this Los Olvidados? The plot summary in our article doesn't say anything about lottery tickets, but it does say that an early version of the script included a boy selling lottery tickets. --Viennese Waltz 07:33, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No. I'm fairly certain that the plot revolves around the lottery ticket. Clarityfiend (talk) 10:35, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
