Anime[edit]

What's the name of the guy who got nailed by a spaceship "like a three pronged hot dog"? --Help! 02:08, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I got some more info. The protagonist is depressed and mopes around a lot. After being hit by a spaceship like the description above, he was transformed into a girl. His parents like it. Okay, maybe I'm not so interested in finding out what it is but I'm curious of what it's called. --24.76.248.193 01:46, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't seen much of it, but the premise of being hit by a spaceship and turning into a female is most definitely Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl. Confusing Manifestation 05:04, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Old TV Show from the 80's[edit]

Does anyone remember the following TV show ... its title or any details? I've checked IMDb, etc., and have had no luck. It was a half-hour sitcom. I believe in the early / mid 80's. The premise was as follows. There was a father, who was a working-class blue-collar type. Rather gruff and loud and opinionated. He had a son that was perhaps a high school kid, maybe 16 or 17 or 18 or so. And the son had a best friend of the same age range. The young high school kids went through the typical phase of "I hate living with my parents under their roof, because they have so many unreasonable rules and they never let me have fun", etc. So, the two high school boys "move out." Mind you, they are only 16 or 17 years old. I guess as some sort of placating compromise, the father lets them "move out" into a room (or apartment) above the garage or something like that. (Some small apartment / room that is "away from" the rest of the house, yet close enough for the Dad to keep his eyes on the kids.) And, I could have sworn that one of the high school boys role was acted by the same actor from Friends TV show (he played Chandler Bing, and his real name is Matthew Perry). The name was something like "Joe and Sons" or something like that. I don't think that it was any great series, perhaps lasting a season or so (if that). I can't seem to find anything anywhere on this. Does anyone remember anything about this show? Correct title, actors, any details? Thanks. (JosephASpadaro 02:41, 12 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]

It seems that show was broadcast in 1975-1976. Joe and Sons, IMDB, Joe and Sons, tv.com. 152.16.188.111 04:03, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, that's not the correct show. Thanks, anyway. Any one else remember this? (JosephASpadaro 06:52, 12 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]
It sounds vaguely familiar though I don't remember anything else about it other than what you posted. Though, are you sure that all this was in just one series? Or could you be mixing shows in your head? Mike Seaver from Growing Pains lived above the family's garage for the last couple seasons. And elements of your description, reminds me of Brotherly Love which had Joey Lawrence starring as a mechanic. Dismas|(talk) 09:46, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, it was definitely one series. I am (relatively) familiar with Growing Pains and Brotherly Love. It was neither of those. (JosephASpadaro 19:51, 12 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]
Well, here is the Matthew Perry filmography on IMDB. The only potential match I can see in that list (based solely on being in the 80's) is Second Chance aka Boys Will Be Boys. --LarryMac | Talk 20:12, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nope. Maybe Matthew Perry was not in it? But - the premise of the show, I am certain of. (JosephASpadaro 21:24, 12 July 2007 (UTC)_[reply]
Perhaps it is episode 98 of Silver Spoons, Rick Moves Out. [1] - Zepheus <ゼィフィアス> 22:01, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, it was a series all its own. (JosephASpadaro 00:57, 13 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Old computer game: Seven [Something][edit]

I'm looking for an old DOS game (15+ years). It's about colonizing America, and you have to complete it within seven journeys from Europe. The name is something like "Seven Journeys". I think it's turn based. You would collect resources, fight with Indians, etc. --Apoc2400 06:16, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I think I found it: The Seven Cities of Gold (video game). List of MS-DOS games was helpful. --Apoc2400 06:33, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whether people have heard of it or not doesn't matter. Just find some articles on the internet that talk about how great and important they are and all of the albums they have sold. Recury 18:31, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

World War I Film[edit]

What is the name of the WWI film where soldiers are put on trial for cowardice after they claim they saw a miraculous white light in the trenches but are granted reprieve when it is reported that the Germans also reported seeing the light? --Gary123 21:30, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Intro music to Planet Earth[edit]

Can someone tell me the name of the intro theme song for the TV series Planet Earth. I think it is like an orchestra but I am not sure.

The music for Planet Earth (TV series) was composed by George Fenton, I do not know if it has a specific title. DuncanHill 23:38, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hoppipolla by Sigur Rós It's got a great video too. - X201 21:49, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
