What was the name of the songs they played during the superbowl this year. BonesBrigade 01:08, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't find a playlist but you can watch the performance on YouTube and write down the playlist yourself if you're familiar with their songs. Dismas|(talk) 03:40, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes...but i dont know there songs. BonesBrigade 03:50, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I know from memory that he lead off with American Girl, and that he played Free Fallin' at some point, I think the third song. Hope that helps. Bleeding Blue 04:02, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Super_Bowl_XLII#Halftime has it all. The above is correct, plus two others from Full Moon Fever. Friday (talk) 04:10, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Film roles

[edit]

I've finally had the opportunity to watch, "Good Old Boy: A Delta Boyhood." The closing credits never said who played Robert Lee Evans, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Tucker or Mr. Dewey. Robert Lee Evans' rank also wasn't specified. How is Bubba's last name spelled? Is Billy's last name Rose or Rhodes? What kind of dog was Skip? What was the animal actor's name? If anyone out there can help me figure out the solutions to these problems, please let me know. Thank you so very much.72.229.136.18 (talk) 07:35, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a link to the IMDB entry with the full cast and crew (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095239/fullcredits), though not sure how much it helps ny156uk (talk) 13:35, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't provide the answers I'm looking for.72.229.136.18 (talk) 13:43, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(ec) I suspect that most of your questions are answered in the IMDB entry. Bovlb (talk) 16:58, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The cast list is incomplete for character names, but Robert Lee Evans = Dulé Hill. You might be able to work out some of the others by clicking on the other names and looking at photographs. You could try getting more information from Multimedia Entertainment Inc., but I can't find a web presence for them. Sorry. Bovlb (talk) 17:07, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Robert E. Lee was played by Dulé Hill. Robert Lee Evans was Caucasian. Still, I'm trying to figure out what kind of dog Skip was in the film. What was the animal actor's name?72.229.136.18 (talk) 18:39, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed your link. --Anon, 03:31 UTC, Feb, 11.

Thanks for the article about Dulé Hill. But I'm still hoping someone out there might have the answers to my questions.72.229.136.18 (talk) 04:47, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who wants to be a Millionaire

[edit]

I have always been concerned about the " Call a friend" lifeline of Who wants to be a Millionaire

Most of the times it is answered in the first ring

My question is What prevented a would be person to call to watch the program and be in front of a computer to look for answers for the question, unless, of course, the program was pre recorded

– — … ° ≈ ≠ ≤ ≥ ± − × ÷ ← → · § 67.72.98.47 (talk) 19:15, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is pre-recorded. The friend is sitting at home at a specific time waiting to be called, while the show is being taped. And there is nothing preventing them from looking it up, or asking someone else in the room, which you can often hear. Adam Bishop (talk) 21:01, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's not only pre-recorded, it's edited. Unless the rules have changed since the early days, contestants get unlimited time to think about their answers, but they only show enough to be interesting. If someone answered on the sixth ring they'd probably edit out five rings, unless the contestant said something interesting during those rings. --Anonymous, 03:34 UTC, February 11, 2008.
Most tv shows are prerecorded and edited these days. (Bear in mind they have to fit perfectly into a specific time slot.) However, it appears there have been a couple of cases of "Phoney a Friend" syndicates googling for answers: see Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (UK game show)#Phoney a Friend.--Shantavira|feed me 08:56, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I also have a strong feeling that a production assistant does the actual calling, so the phone a friend is already on the line when Meredith starts speaking to them. Corvus cornixtalk 17:03, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, this started happening in the Australian edition a lot (searching on the internet) in around 2005 and they were very obvious about it. They banned this sometime in 2005 or 2006 although how it was enforced I don't know. In any case the show stopped when the host disappeared, and it has now apparently come back but the life-line friends are kept in a studio room to preclude the practice. I have the idea that this is what it was like in the earlier versions of the original (UK) edition tooNil Einne (talk) 18:01, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
