2Pac

Hi, Why is "Tupac Shakur" the main article for rapper "2Pac"? The article "2Pac" is merely a redirect to "Tupac Shakur". It would seem logical to me if his artistname was used instead. Just as "Earl Simmons" would redirect to main article "DMX", and "Curtis Jackson" would redirect to article "50 Cent". I also see a lot of pages where his name is mixed with other artistnames, like "DMX, 50 Cent and Tupac". It would be the same as saying "Earl, Curtis and Tupac". I don't feel like changing all of those pages if there is a reason for his name to be used like this. I hope someone can answer my question, thanks in advance!

As far as I can see from the Tupac Shakur article talk archives, it's because the moniker 2pac was only used for some of his albums. He also used other stagenames (which all redirect to the main article) as well as appearing in a number of movies under these and his real name. I agree with Foxhill generally, and I would note that Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies)#Subsequent uses of names would lead us to generally refer to him as "Shakur", his last name, rather than "Tupac", his first name. On the other hand, if DMX and 50 Cent recorded a song with him, the recording credit would probably be "DMX, 50 Cent and 2Pac" (and be spelled that way in Wikipedia) since 2Pac was the name he most commonly used for recordings. So "DMX, 50 Cent and Tupac" would probably be an incorrect usage. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 08:10, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tupac, like Elvis Presley, quickly became famous enough to be known only by his relatively uncommon first name. He would switch back and forth throughout his life between 2Pac and Tupac depending on the context. For what it's worth, the famously formal New York Times usually referred to him as "Mr. Shakur." --M @r ē ino 17:15, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Old Science Fiction Movie

In June I posted a question which I reproduce here:

In the 1960s or late 1950s a science fiction movie was released featuring a mission to the Moon to defeat an enemy force which was operating a base there. The enemy were flying a spacecraft of the flying saucer type from which a crimson-coloured sphere emerged at times. The defending force landed upright rockets from which they deployed moon-buggies to attack the enemy base/saucer. On the journey to the Moon one of their crew turned saboteur. It has been a long time since I saw Moon Zero Two on TV, but I do have the novel in my collection and it is not the movie in question. If it's on Imdb I can't find it... It's so long since I saw it I have only fragmented memory of it but the gist is that the Earth is being attacked by a large saucer which is operated from the Moon. (I can't remember whether the hostiles were aliens.) A military expedition goes to the Moon (along the way a crewman tries to sabotage the rocket) and deploys orange tracked Moon-buggies by lowering them from the rocket on an elevator platform. They locate and destroy the saucer. I remember clearly one scene where the expeditioners spy on the landed saucer on the Moon and see a crimson sphere rise from its apex. 1981 Holiday Special

In 1981, during the Holiday Season, CBS aired a special which featured John Schneider and Dottie West. In the special, a group of men performed their country western parody of The Twelve Days of Christmas. I'd like to find out the special's title, and if it's on DVD.
