Song Name And Artist

Today at around 4:00 pmish, on Fort McMurray's mix radio station, there was an electronic song that was played, at the end, it was fading with the lyrics (I'm not sure) "so far away". What is the song name and artist?96.53.149.117 (talk) 00:44, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Dynafit-system?

What is "dynafit-system"?

Whereas downhill skiing has a common binding system allowing any boot to work with any binding short of the dynafit-system, modern cross-country skiers must match the skis' binding system to the boot type.

This sort of explains that it lets you downhill ski, but also gives you the option of releasing the heel for ski touring (but isn't very clear how it's done, at least not to me anyway). Clarityfiend (talk) 03:53, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Ice Capades

I never made such a claim. Please do not insist that I have. However, reliable sources, such as the respected web publication Slate.com have, as do many many many many other sources. As to why he wasn't in the picture, I dunno, maybe he was home with the Flu the day they took it. There's a million good reasons why he wouldn't be in a random photograph, but there are also numerous sources that confirm that he did found the Ice Capades. --Jayron32.talk.contribs 04:20, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Yes. I am serious. This is a reference desk for finding factual information. "Good" is an opinion that cannot be answered with factual information. What is good for one person may be terrible for another. Because this is a reference desk and not a discussion forum, this is no place to get on your soapbox and expound on why you believe the game is good or bad. I'm going to go ahead and ignore all of this above and tell you MY THOUGHTS from personally playing it. It was pretty good. Combat felt decent except enemies maybe didn't die fast enough. The game looks pretty, and has good effects, and overall the whole game is pretty polished. However it does get a bit repetative if you attempt to do every single availble objective. Problem in starting Age of Mythology.

I've recently bought the Age of Mythology Gold Edition Pack, including the original game and the Titans Expansion. The setup was done correctly and the game was successfully installed. But when I tried to start the game, I found that It is asking for the CD, and saying that 'Please insert the correct CD-ROM and restart the game'.I have inserted both the CDs and tried a lot, but the game can't get started. Then I replaced the AOM.exe file with the AOMTrial.exe file and found that It is running and even I can play the full campaign. But I can not play the Random map fully, nor can I start the editor. So,can anyone please give me an Internet address from which I can download the AOM.exe and AOMX.exe files to start the game without checking for the CD? What you need is a 'NoCD' patch. These are generally hacked versions of the executable modded to disable the CD check. (Lots of tech-savvy people resent the cumbersome requirement to have the exact CD in the drive and hack the game executable file to change this) - make sure it's the same version as your game! Remember these files have been modified and can't be guaranteed to be safe - use good antivirus/malware software. Spinal Tap in the Simpsons episode The Otto Show

The parody band Spinal Tap appear in the Simpsons episode The Otto Show. Seeing as Harry Shearer is part of the show's cast and also plays the character of Derek Smalls in the group their appearance isn't that unusual. However I've always wondered one thing: in the episode, the Spinal Tap concept is presented as being an actual music concert and not a comedy show/parody concert. Everyone in the crowd including Bart and Millhouse take the show at face value. Bart is even inspired to want to become a rock star. The only person who appears to realise it's a comedy show is Otto, who exclaims "Sit down! You're ruining it for everyone!" (or something like that).

So my question is, is the joke:

a) that Spinal Tap is actually a real band in the Simpsons universe, or

How about (c) The writers didn't include a band in the original concept and then needed one and one of them said "How about Spinal Tap" to which they all got a laugh and decided it was cheaper to include a fake band than a real one, but better to include a fake band that everyone has heard of instead of a fakey fake band that they just make up a name for. -- kainaw™ 16:47, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it has been mentioned but bears repeating that Spinal Tap is more of a manufactured band than a fictitious one. They really did play and write all of their own music for the movie and subsequent albums; and they really do peform all of their own music live. I distinctly remember their performance in MTV's "Concert for Life" aka The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. The questioner is falling into a trap which is all too common of trying to make sense of things that happen in "the Simpsons universe". You have to remember that this is a cartoon comedy show, and that having things that don't make sense happen is part of the show and part of the comedy. It's like the "what state is Springfield in" debate - you have to realise that it's something you can't work out. Maybe Spinal Tap are real in The Simpsons universe? Maybe they started out as a parody and found people took them seriously? Maybe they are are joke band and the inhabitants of Springfield are collectively too dumb to notice (wouldn't be surprising) Maybe you're supposed to laugh at seeing a fake band play as if they were real? Bones (TV show)

• I suspect they met when Booth worked on a case that involved some skeleton and his bosses called in Brennan as she's the expert. Unfortunately, I don't have sources to back it up. Booth is an assigned liaison. It is his job to work with Brennan. There is no implication that they knew each other before he was assigned to work with her. -- kainaw™ 13:04, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

I remember the first episode. She was arriving at the airport and Booth was there to pick her up and take her to a crime scene. They did not like each other much from a previous experience that they only hinted at. A tune in horror movies

This tune is performed in about 8 notes at a rather fast tempo. It is often played on an organ and usually take place in horror movies. I bet some of you recognized it.

In one episode of the animated series of Street Fighter, Guile, Chun Li and Blanka were facing three mutants in a match were M. Bison tries to frame them (he later shows a video depicting the three heroes destroying ornaments in a temple).
