soundtrack remaster and release

[edit]

I was looking up some great music on YouTube. When I found some things, I learned they were collaborations between Earl Klugh and Hubert Laws. The songs were from the movie soundtrack How to Beat the High Co$t of Living. When I went to Amazon.com to look up the aforementioned soundtrack, I learned used copies were only available on audio cassette and vinyl LP. The soundtrack should be remastered and released on CD. I understand How to Beat the High Co$t of Living was released by MGM. I'm also well aware Klugh and Laws are still active. But who should I turn to on how I feel about the aforementioned movie soundtrack being remastered and released on CD? Anyone know?24.90.204.234 (talk) 06:15, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know the answer (presumably the record company that released the LP), but you could always buy a turntable and a used copy of the LP and get the music that way. --Viennese Waltz 06:31, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hepcat Helm's music in the X-Files

[edit]

In the episode Humbug: a sort of set in "frensay," or i cannot tell. Doncsecztalk 08:57, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The song is "Frenzy" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. [1]. Googling the artist and title will help you find recordings (on youtube, for example), as well as the song's lyrics. ---Sluzzelin talk 11:09, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The song is even on Songs in the Key of X: Music from and Inspired by the X-Files! ---Sluzzelin talk 13:44, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Doncsecztalk 16:45, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The link is to the video 'a breath of air'. N.I.M. (talk) 13:13, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear sweet N.I.M., you forgot to include the link in your original question. Regards, 24.91.31.112 (talk) 13:38, 15 December 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Sylvia Lopez, according to the credits at the end. (Guessing it's the same one, since the story seems to focus on LA.) ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots05:27, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

voice on kim possible for 3 robot characters

[edit]
  • This is a re-post of the question above that i asked, i reposted it so more people will have a chance to answer it, and also because the above question is going into archives, thanks.

Can someone please describe the voice synth used on the voice recordings for the voice of the bebes (attack of the killer bebes and queen bebe), Blender (Car Trouble, A.K.A. Driver's Ed), and the security drones (A sich in time part 3 future) in kim possible? I just need a description of the sound of the effect done on their voices to make them sound the way they do. Thanks. N.I.M. (talk) 13:28, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I won't know which one it is though, i just need a description of the sound on their voices. N.I.M. (talk) 10:25, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Here are links to the episodes i mention, closest to the voice synthesis i mention. I don't knwo which of the items you mentioned to me would be what i am looking for, but here are the links, do your best. Queen Bebe (the bebes), [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wT2N2KJuvI Car Trouble (sadie or the blender), and [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQvnSAK_53k&feature=related a sich in time part 3 future (Robo duff or security drone). Note that Robo duff and the Security drone have the same synthesis as the bebes. Remember, i need a description of the voice effect for the bebes, Sadie, Blender, and Robo Duff or Security Drone. Thanks. N.I.M. (talk) 10:25, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I skimmed the videos, but don't know who bebe, sadie, robo duff, or security drone were. I assume the blender is the actual blender that talks. To me the effect sounded like pitch modulation (vibrato, essentially), perhaps controlled by an LFO at about 10 hz and a pitch bend of, oh, a semitone or two--coupled with a voice actor talking funny. Just a guess. By the way, the effect is not voice synthesis but rather human speech electronically processed. Pfly (talk) 11:55, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bebe is the android who steals a girl and makes her the "queen", Robo duff is the "world's deadliest golfing cyborg", and Sadie is the talking car voiced by Susie Essman. N.I.M. (talk) 13:12, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Home and away...

[edit]

What is the name of the actress who is shown at the begining of the program, On the beach with a bag, And then blow's a kiss at the camra?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tiggerrr294 (talkcontribs) 21:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean during the opening credits? This video appears to be the most recent version of the opening credits for Home and Away, and it lists all of the actors as they appear. I'm not seeing anyone blowing a kiss. Could you link us to a video of what you mean? 90.195.179.14 (talk) 10:45, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I just saw Jodi Gordon do what you describe. 90.195.179.14 (talk) 18:49, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that there's a lot of songs in funky house and electro house of 2006. N.I.M. (talk) 23:29, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

All that, and your friend didn't get the title? Wow. —Tamfang (talk) 19:26, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Crazy i know, but she could only find out so much, she recognized the songs, that's how she got it. We were in Vancouver and were in a mall hanging out when she heard those songs. I asked this once in september, but got no results. Seems to me like either a wolfgang gartner or an M.O.S. cd. I'm looking for this cd because i would actualy like a cd that i can get in Canada with some of the best house and funky house songs of 2006. If this one is impossible to find, can someone give me an example of one? By best i mean more popular funky house songs of 2006. N.I.M. (talk) 01:31, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
