What's the title of this film?

[edit]

What is the title of the film about the paranoid man who thinks his apartment is bugged, and eventually he thinks that bugs are implanted in his own teeth and he pulls one of them out to prove it to the female protagonist? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.65.3.227 (talk) 06:36, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The synopsis of Bug (2006 film) matches your description. Clarityfiend (talk) 06:51, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.65.3.227 (talk) 11:13, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't an apartment, it was a hotel room. RNealK (talk) 04:56, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ted Nugent Page Bias

[edit]

I recently heard a story on the news about Ted Nugent, so I decided to look him up on here. At the end of the first part of the page, someone wrote:

"His current role as resident racist is underscored by despicable comments about the reckless murder of Trayvon Martin by cold-blooded killer Zimmerman and Stevie Wonder's crusade to end "Stand your ground laws".

This is obviously bias, and it needs to be changed. I tried to change it, but I believe that may be on of the protected pages in which some users cannot edit. If you could change that as soon as possible, it would be appreciated.

Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by TruuthSeeker (talkcontribs) 13:37, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The vandalism has been reverted. In the future, the best place to bring this up would be the article's talk page. uhhlive (talk) 14:16, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

:Read this stuff about Nugent's commentary, and then talk about "bias".[1]Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots22:11, 25 July 2013 (UTC) [reply]

FFS Bugs, when can you not jump on a bright and shiny lure to go off on one of your tangents? Shadowjams (talk) 04:58, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What tangent? Nugent's own words speak directly to the situation raised by the OP. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots11:30, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't see a tangent, either (this time, anyway). But, at the risk of my own, I'll point out that Nugent is pointing out a racist hypocrisy perpetuated by the media, not himself (white-on-black is hot news, black-on-black is police beat). That's not to say he is or isn't racist, but his comments don't seem (to me) to suggest it. The story arguably does, but that's more relevant to the Huffington Post article, not Nugent's. InedibleHulk (talk) 22:43, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The point of view should be neutral, not portraying anyone positively or negatively. It is the policy, whether you agree with someone or not, regardless of whether it is right or wrong. Here is another example of bias. Referring to Norm Green by the nickname "Faggy Magoo". Making a comment like Woodrow Wilson was a hero is also biased. Such comments do nott belong in articles. Case is closed. 108.0.244.168 (talk) 22:36, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The jury's decision authorizes anyone to use a gun at any time he feels "threatened", despite the obvious "setup" in this case. Zimmerman was told to let the police handle it, and he ignored that order. He never told the kid who he was, never announced he had a gun. He was looking to shoot the kid at the slightest provocation, and as one juror said, "He got away with murder" due to prosecution incompetence. And by the way, one-zero-eight, who are you to be "closing" a case? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots22:57, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just to be clear, I don't think Nugent is right in his assessment of the verdict. Martin got screwed, in my opinion. Just don't see how that makes Nugent a racist. Of course, when you disagree with a "generally accepted" position like this, you get all sorts of vitriolic reaction. If the issue is terrorism, you get called a terrorist. Politics, you get called a Liberal/Conservative. Anything to do with an MMA split decision, nuthugger. Racism, racist. InedibleHulk (talk) 23:22, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Practically speaking, anyone who is moderately acquainted with Nugent knows what he's about. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots01:16, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, but we're all somewhere on the racist (and specist) spectrum. Where to draw the line and call someone a racist is more of an art than a science. I'm not saying it's not possible, I just don't do it. He's clearly a guitarist, though. He just exploits them. InedibleHulk (talk) 03:17, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, something like "He killed hockey is Minnesota for a number of years and there is currently a $1,000,000 bounty on his head in the state." should probably have a source. I fixed that one a bit. InedibleHulk (talk) 22:58, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's a good one. Where was that? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots23:01, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In the revision 108 IP linked. Which I misunderstood as the current Norman Green article, and wasted ten minutes "fixing". Pays to pay attention, I guess. InedibleHulk (talk) 23:11, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I see. I can vouch for the disdain Minnesota hockey fans have for this Green character. The short version is that he moved the team in order to escape a sexual harassment problem. I think your version of the article covers the issue sufficiently. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots23:33, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I was a hockey fan then. Still sort of am. My version was crap compared to where it is, but was much better than where I thought it was. I'm not touching it anymore. InedibleHulk (talk) 03:23, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The hardest articles to keep unbiased are those about people who go out their way to express views at an extreme of the spectrum of public opinion. That's obviously the case for the people mentioned here. Our articles should describe the views accurately, but not comment on them. Such views usually speak for themselves. HiLo48 (talk) 23:28, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
What about Theodore G. Bilbo? Is it fine to refer to him as a racist, or does it violate the NPOV rule? He was a KKK member who tried to block anti-lynching bills and hated Jews. He also said something about doing everything that must be done to prevent minorities from voting (meaning he advocated lynching). Bilbo seems to have been extremely racist to me. Does the article about Bilbo comply with the rules? 108.0.244.168 (talk) 02:52, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If someone self-identifies as a racist and forms a part of his career around it, it's much more cut and dry. At least, in my eyes. That guy was definitely a racist. InedibleHulk (talk) 03:21, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am trying to figure out whether Bilbo self-identified as one or not to find out if his article complies. 108.0.244.168 (talk) 04:13, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure if he ever said the words "I consider myself a racist", I'll admit. InedibleHulk (talk) 06:45, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't recall ever hearing a racist call themselves that. Reading more about this Dildo Bilbo character, he was actually a champion of the underdog in many ways, and if he weren't such a virulent racist (among his other long list of prejudices and grudges), he could have been considered a great politician. But you have to give extra points to a guy so far out there that his own typically racist colleagues passed a resolution labeling him "unfit to sit with gentlemen" or something like that. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots23:53, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lil Jon pussy dick ass songs

[edit]

Besides pop that pussy and ride the d, what other songs have Lil Jon sang relating to woman's vagina, or that are sexually explicit that the words ass, dick and pussy have been used.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.92.149.213 (talkcontribs) 16:58, 25 July 2013‎

Have you looked at our Lil Jon discography article? Your question is a bit subjective, so you may have the best results counting for yourself. Where we have articles on individual songs, there may be an authorized link to songs lyrics, for cases where the title doesn't make the substance of the song clear. --BDD (talk) 22:44, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
