March 14[edit]

Looking for a 90s PC game.[edit]

I'm looking for a mid-late 90s Windows / dos something game. It had no "missions" it had no like enemies... nothing. It was like a SIM game but not any of the popular well known games, it was like 2D, from 1994-2000 circa, it had tiles and no objectives, the game logo(what you press on the desktop to open the game)was swords or 2 swords over each other. Yet it wasn't about action :S it was in 2d and it was top down, you could place tiles that were named "City" "Farm" "Forest" etc. City was a tile with 2 apartment blocks with tiny windows on it, you could place many of those and all had the same logo. Farm was a field as far as I remember and I don't remember much more. :( pleaseee help me find it! I was playing it in 2001-2002 in the school's computer (it had sooo many unknown games for PC that I don't remember but were really great and ALL FROM THE 90S! you could call me a 90s kid considering i was only playing 90s games in 2001-2002 oh good times!) 31.209.153.68 (talk) 22:29, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If it wasn't the original SimCity game, you might be able to find it at Chronology of city-building video games or Category:City-building games. --Jayron32 22:43, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It was actually not a "City building game" You couldn't create cities, only a tile that was called "City" and you placed it in big map with roads and grass and such, also, not a medieval game, it happened in modern time and NOT a "War game" you couldn't create any armies or army buildings or such, infact no buildings could be created, only a little tile you could place called "City". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.209.153.68 (talk) 22:53, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Note: The "two swords" icon was possibly a default icon from Windows, not from the game. When you make a shortcut to a DOS program, you can change the icon. One of the default icons you can choose is an icon of two swords. If that looks like the icon you remember, then maybe the game was a DOS game. --Bavi H (talk) 00:24, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, Those swords have the same pose, on each other. But I feel like that's not the icon but I'm positive it couuuld be a DOS game! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.209.153.68 (talk) 00:42, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but I think neither, like i said above, quite modern, and had "City" in it with modern apartments. :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.209.153.68 (talk) 01:33, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
