Stand-up comic with a mechanized voice?

[edit]

I listen to a comedy station sometimes, and every so often, I'll hear a stand-up comic who sounds like a little robot with a high-pitched voice. I thought the comic's name was mentioned as "Charlie" something (turns out Charlie Bartlett is a movie?), but looking through a list of comedians (and United States comedians), I can't find any Chucks or Charl* that ring a bell. You'll hear him talking, and then you'll hear the audience laughing or clapping—I can't tell if it's a person talking into a weird vocoder microphone (Motley Crüe-style) or if it's just a studio comic using canned audience laugh-track stuff. The voice is much smoother and easier to understand than someone who lost their vocal chords due to cancer, for example. I don't find the comic funny but I'm super curious what the heck is going on. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 04:51, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The man you are looking for is Chuck Bartell. He uses a voice synthesizer like the ones that people use who have damaged vocal chords. But, as I understand it his voice is okay he just uses if got effect. Several months ago I read a website that had more info about him than the one I linked to but I can't seem to find it. Perhaps another editor will be able to provide a better one. MarnetteD|Talk 05:23, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I need a date for the Queen + Adam Lambert concert in Paris

[edit]

I bought two tickets to see Queen + Adam Lambert in Paris on January 26 but now my girlfriend and I broke up and I’d like to find a new lady to join me for drinks and the show.

Call me shallow if you like but I want her to be attractive (and adult).

Where should I advertise to discover her? I’ve already explained the above on my profile in a computer dating site but no response so far.

I know the answer won’t belong in an encyclopedia but I am sure the regular posters I’ve come to admire and trust can advise me. Hayttom 10:33, 12 January 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hayttom (talkcontribs) [reply]

Craigslist Paris, definitely. Also try the most popular and active Queen fan forum (whatever that is). --Viennese Waltz 13:18, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
