Xanth characters Vernon and Veleno are they half-brothers?

[edit]

I am researching all the characters of Xanth the best I can, and I have been told Vernon and Veleno are brothers, but the person who told will not provide novel and chapter for where I can find it. Anyone know? LA (T) @ 04:23, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Doctor Who - Peri's disturbing fate

In the Doctor Who episode Mindwarp, why did Peri Brown die by having her mind erased and replaced with the mind of the Mentor leader, Kiv? 31.49.30.10 (talk) 14:18, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Because that's what the writers decided on. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:24, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If you read our Peri Brown article all the way through, you'll see that she didn't. Rojomoke (talk) 14:27, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Though that exact same thing might have happened after she got married. Nobody says it didn't. InedibleHulk (talk) 19:36, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The 6th Doctor didn't want Peri to be experimented. But she was taken to the laboratory, anyway. How come? 31.49.30.10 (talk) 14:17, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why didn't Peri fight back when she was threated with death (possibly before entering the laboratory)? Why did she allow the scientist Crozier to experiment on her? Had she gone mad? Did she want to die? 31.49.30.10 (talk) 14:37, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That whole season is full of plot holes. It wasn't helped by Robert Holmes dying before he could finish all his scripts for the season, nor by increasing tension between Eric Saward and John Nathan-Turner. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:04, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How come the Doctor didn't find and rescue Peri? Would he had a feeling where Peri was and knew where to find her? Was Peri already dead, before he went to her rescue, before he was taken out of time by the Time Lords? Would he have been shocked, horrified, and angry, when he had discovered what had become of her? And started killing everyone (like the warlord King Yrcanos did}? If Peri was dead, would he feel it? 31.49.30.10 (talk) 14:22, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why did the writers decided that Mindwarp would be her final episode? I bet she would've appeared in The Ultimate Foe, where it was revealed that she survived (alive and well and married to Yrcanos). I assume she would've been in the courtroom and the Doctor would say "Peri! You're alive!" and give her a warm hug. 31.49.30.10 (talk) 19:26, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You are aware that this is a fictional work, not a documentary? The reasons behind most of the plot twists and turns and holes will be down to the writers, you could try emailing them. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:28, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The OP seems to think that we have telepathic powers to read the minds of writers. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots21:23, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
We'd need something supernatural - half of the major people who put these stories together (Robert Holmes, Jane Baker and John Nathan-Turner) are dead. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:41, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What was the reason of having her head shaved? What was the reason of her being bald? 31.49.30.10 (talk) 16:06, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

She was preparing to join the Hari Krishnas. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots21:32, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Godfather Cartoon Parody

[edit]

Cartoon foreign, most likely American. It's not anime. Animated series for children. It played on TV in 2002, and then re-twisted in 2007. There's the main villain(or at least playing an important role), mafia was a lot like don Corleone. He called himself "the godfather".His jaw was piperales. The whole cartoon was full of ridicule with his appearance: all people, enemies and accomplices to mafia laughed with his jaw and said that he had a jaw like a bulldog! He was angry at them, constantly beaten. He was wearing a red flower on his jacket. There were such footage, where he attended his daughter's wedding and danced with her. And the scene where the mafia kiss his hand. And that's more like a parody of the movie "the Godfather". There, among his confederates, I remember the two Mafioso. One mafia was a thin black glasses, a typical coward and a loser: he could not of robbery, theft and smuggling. Was shaking all the time before the appearance of the leader. The other mafia was fat, clumsy and stupid. All the time mocked the leader, before his jaw could not stop laughing. When he saw his anger and asked forgiveness and kissed his hand, but after a while, continued to mock. Who fought against the mafia I do not remember - but like the main characters helped some robots, superheroes or aliens. But the fact that the leader of the mafia was like the Godfather - that I remember exactly. Even the leader of the mafia often say something like "Lift my jaw" or "jaw Release me". The cartoon was made in the style of "Inspector Gadget". One of the positive characters of their fixtures reminded of Inspector Gadget, this dude would have been a loser, it's not like he had red hair and freckles. One of the girls on the team were like long-haired blond in the pink dress. Villain who parodied Corleone also had one gold tooth(or silver like) prosthesis. His daughter wore the dress with a short skirt and neckline. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.19.75.150 (talk) 19:03, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As this question has been asked before I would suggest that you might try other websites like TV.tropes to see if you can get an answer. MarnetteD|Talk 19:40, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Carmine Falcone has a red flower on his jacket and a blonde sister. InedibleHulk (talk) 21:31, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
But he wasn't in The Batman. Terrible guess, I suppose. InedibleHulk (talk) 21:35, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Did have Falcone a sister? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.19.75.145 (talk) 17:11, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Allegedly. InedibleHulk (talk) 19:02, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And if it happened in the animated series "Norman Normal"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.19.75.169 (talk) 21:33, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
