Sectoral collective bargaining in Europe

[edit]

I read in Cómo se “negocia” realmente un convenio colectivo sectorial. a critique of collective bargaining in Spain: The worker representatives in sectoral collective bargaining are the most voted unions in the works council elections of the sector, but 82% of companies have less than 6 employees so no unions are voted there. (The blog does not mention that 57% of business do not have any employees). Also, the sector representatives are chosen by the union, not by the individual works councilors voted by the workers. The blog concludes that there is no real democracy in sectoral collective bargaining in Spain.

I wonder how it is done in other countries with sectoral bargaining. Do all workers vote their works councilors the company and their sector representatives? --Error (talk) 12:38, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe the ICTWSS database has the information. --Error (talk) 12:57, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I downloaded their Excel file but it has not the information I want, as far as I can understand. --Error (talk) 15:32, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You may be thinking of Frumentarii... AnonMoos (talk) 23:08, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
According to our article, the Agentes in rebus were the successors to the Frumentarii. AnonMoos (talk) 23:11, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
