[edit]Hermitian adjoint vs conjugate transpose
[edit]Both the article for Hermitian adjoint and the one for conjugate transpose mention "Hermitian conjugate" as an alternative name. Are they the same in essence? In particular I am researching quantum computing at the moment. The Average Wikipedian (talk) 14:47, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
- Technically, the former is limited to square matrices, or generally, linear maps from a vector space to itself, while the latter is not.--Jasper Deng (talk) 14:50, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
