Did Steve Jobs carry around an iPhone (or an iPad) in the course of his daily affairs

[edit]

I was just thinking, this guy was so keen to put these wondrous devices into the hands of every man, woman, and child who could shell out around $500, but were they good enough to be used by the man himself? Vranak (talk) 12:55, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A quick googling finds an anecdote of Jobs carrying an iPhone prototype. I'm not sure why one should doubt he used one. It's not a "dog food manufacturer eats dog food" kind of a situtation - this is a high end product that had competitors scrambling to catch up. Android is my favorite now, but for a few years iPhone was, well, insanely amazing. 88.112.50.121 (talk) 18:55, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, absolutely it seems likely. I'd just like to be sure though. I mean, if he didn't that would be really curious wouldn't it? Vranak (talk) 19:02, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have no evidence either way but it probably would have been noted if he didn't. Dismas|(talk) 04:12, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tall Blacks posting in Face Book

[edit]

You display a picture of AUSTRALIA on your Facebook posting. The TALL BLACKS are a NEW ZEALAND team. Can you change it to the right map please? Thanks, A Kiwi Fan — Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.154.154.22 (talk) 22:39, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Facebook may have gathered some information from Wikipedia for their page, but if the article Tall Blacks doesn't display Australia, it's out of our control. Any screw up is on their part, you'll have to talk with them about it. Ian.thomson (talk) 22:42, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I see what he means though. For some reason, Farcebook has decided to use File:Gold medal australia.svg (which appears in the infobox of the WP article) as the lead image. That's not the worst one I've seen. There was a guy last year who posted to the help desk, mad as hell (as you would be) because he'd found the Nazi flag as the featured image on his auto-generated, WP-sourced Facebook page. I believe that someone had used the flag for his birth location (as they're not supposed to do anyway!) in his infobox, or something along those lines and Facebook's system had taken a liking to it... --Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 05:25, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
