Mail order meat

[edit]

For years I have seen ads for Omaha steaks, but never tried them because of the price. Yesterday the meat section at the local grocery was bare, and AmazonFresh doesn't seem to be able to make deliveries in Southern California any more, so I figured this might be a good time to try some mail order meat, no matter what the cost.

The question is, where to order? I am kind of assuming that the one that advertises the most probably has higher prices to cover those costs...

Any advice? Or is there a better way to restock my freezer? --Guy Macon (talk) 14:11, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There are several sites that provide recommendations, e.g.: [14] , [15]2606:A000:1126:28D:1440:B868:E2ED:2C0A (talk) 16:46, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not surprisingly, some of these places are now starting to run out of stock or close to new customers.--WaltCip (talk) 16:53, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Or, ... to paraphrase an old proverb: "Give a man a steak, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to hunt, and you feed him for a lifetime." So, buy a gun -- and happy hunting! --2606:A000:1126:28D:1440:B868:E2ED:2C0A (talk) 17:02, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This may be a bad time for cannibalism, by the way, I'm just sayin'. —Tamfang (talk) 18:07, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I always preferred the version that started "Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for one night, set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." But I'm a sick mofo. --Jayron32 20:01, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
