Americans stranded in Afghanistan

[edit]

How many Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan per the most recent reports? Of these, how many are still alive, and how many have been murdered by terrorists? 2601:646:8A81:6070:BC1E:8639:61E6:3A32 (talk) 11:21, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Senate report: 9,000 Americans still stranded in Afghanistan (6 Feb 2022). Alansplodge (talk) 23:05, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you read the source despite the headline, it's not clear how many of these people are really stranded per se. It just seems to be an estimated number of US citizens still in Afghanistan. How many of them want to leave but can't isn't something that seems to have been looked in to. Nil Einne (talk) 23:48, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the info Alansplodge -- and as for Nil Einne's question, given the situation on the ground, it can be safely presumed that almost all of them want to leave! Now, just 1 question remains: how many of them have been murdered so far, and how many are still alive? 2601:646:8A81:6070:E08B:3324:50D4:D469 (talk) 11:26, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What is a signature program?

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed that Adoption-Friendly Workplace links to signature program, but the latter is about computer programs whose source code is used in forum post signatures and similar. What is a signature program as meant by the first article? —Gennaro Prota•Talk 15:53, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I assume it means wikt:signature#Adjective. I have removed the link and some others that did not seem useful. —Kusma (talk) 16:27, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Aha, thanks. I had found a few articles on the Internet using the expression and recommending people to create a signature program but, in perfect marketing style, none of them really said what they meant by the term. It hadn't occurred to me to lookup the work "signature" separately. —Gennaro Prota•Talk 15:54, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
