Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2011 March 17

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I added facts and description supported by outside sources. I'm pretty new at this, and would appreciate any constructive criticism. Thanks!

New article- needs to be reviewed for unbiasedness.

User:Phoenixcomm/2 of 5 Code Please publish page.. thanks[edit]

please publish this page. The table info (the code) came off of one of my Gables Engineering parts diagram. most aircraft control heads use this code. I could not find it listed anywhere on the net. this is not 'two-of-five code' which was used by the telcos. thks

Greetings, the page as you linked it is not currently ready for publishing. The main things it lacks are a lede (WP:LEDE), which establishes the subject and gives a short summary that any layman could understand. The article's references are also to sites like Ask.com, which is not a reliable source (WP:RS). Try instead to find at least one or two reliable sources from news sites, GoogleBooks, or from a page belonging to a recognised official entity in the engineering field. Feel free to post back here with any questions, MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:00, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am in need of some help in the formatting department. I would really enjoy some constructive help. Thank you.

Okay, I've given it a tidy up. I see it's been declined by 'articles for creation' but that you've done more work on it since. Try to gather more references from places other than msuspartans, which I don't think would be considered an independant source. You'll need to get enough references to show that Keane meets the notability guidelines. Good luck, --Physics is all gnomes (talk) 17:43, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please let me know any feedback you have on this page about a popular DJ. Thanks!

This is a brief description of a software project that has been around for a number of years, and has achieved sufficient maturity to warrant a 1.0 release. Since this is my first submitted article, I have kept this in my sandbox for the time-being.

Also, for the sake of transparency, I go by 'ergonlogic' in the Drupal (and thus Aegir) community. I am a junior contributor to the project, and work for one of the organizations (Koumbit, a non-profit, btw) who are amongst those leading this community project. I have carefully read the WP:COI page, and don't feel that I am contravening any of those guidelines.

Thanks in advance for your feedback and guidance.
