Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2011 March 8

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have gotten some feedback on this already (mostly in the form of flagging the article for various issues) but what I'd appreciate more is actual help making it better! I know it needs help in the citations, references and categorizing. If I can get some people who are interested in this topic to go in and help make it better that'd be wonderful.

Also if someone can please remove the "waiting for review" up top on the page :)

Thank you!

This is a article about a large education company in India. Need your feedback to make it better. I have added references, although I can add more if you feel like it.

Hi all, I'd welcome a review of the article Kuzuha, Hirakata-shi, Osaka, thanks in advance :)

A summary: Kuzuha in Hirakata-shi, Osaka prefecture. Landmark building is Kuzuha Tower City, the highest known base isolation condominium in the world at it's time of construction. Also home to Kuzuha Public Golf Course, hosting international professional tournaments between 1965 and 1990. Kuzuha Mall was home to the Japanese Class D51 51 steam locomotive between 1972 and 2004 (referenced: now moved to Tokokko Saga station). Figures of Kuzuha station serving 60,000 people a day (Japanese reference). Northern border lies bamboo forest famous for link to Thomas Edison and it's Shinto shrine.

Kuzuha was cited in existing articles on Kuzuha Station and Keihan Main Line, for which this link has now been created. Kuzuha Mall was referenced on the Japanese page for the JNR Class D51 locomotive 国鉄D51形蒸気機関車. (Note: The English page for the JNR Class D51 does not have a complete list of preserved locomotives when compared to the Japanese page. D51 51 can be added). Japanese page exists for Kuzuha Mall.

I believe I may've submitted a request accidentally twice now. If so, I apologize. I am looking for feedback though on how or why my article has yet to be published. To the best of my knowledge, all requirements have been met. Any help towards this end would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at the article about Dana Evan Kaplan in your userspace. There are no references verifying any of the statements in the article. As it says above,
Wait! The single most common answer here is that you need more reliable sources to demonstrate the subject is "notable" and to support the claims made in the article. You must find reliable sources needed for your proposed article before posting here.
When you have finished this kind of necessary documentation, come on back and let us take a look at the article. Tkotc (talk) 21:16, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's my first time submitting an article on Wikipedia so I would like some general feedback on the development of the page so far before going any further

It's for a sports club in London

I would also like to add a summary of the club on the right with club crest, playing kits etc....

A bit like what you see on the right hand side here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tir_Chonaill_Gaels

Could advise or point me towards an article on how this is done please?

Thanks in advance for your help

I would like some feedback as to whether this article meets notability guidelines, and if not, what more I could do to ensure it does. It's for an academic.

Graduate researcher (talk) 16:35, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Look at the nine criteria listed at Wikipedia:Notability (academics). Which of these apply? If the fact that the subject meets one or more of these criteria isn't plainly expressed, preferably in the lead paragraph, the article has a significant likelihood of being deleted again. I looked at JamesBWatson's comments on your talk page and I have to agree with his conclusions, and unlike JBW I have very relaxed standards. It seems like your subject might qualify under #1 or #7 if you could cite a reliable source in verification. Right now I don't think you have established notability. That doesn't mean the subject is not worthy of notice; the issue is whether notice objectively has been taken. Tkotc (talk) 21:30, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lassi Hurskainen Please help review my post. Thanks[edit]

Would like for someone to review.

Cmykenny (talk) 17:28, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please look at the College Athletes section of Wikipedia:Notability (sports). It wasn't immediately obvious to me how your subject fit under those three criteria. If he does, you need to spell out his notability in the lead paragraph of your article. Without clear notability, the article will likely be deleted. Other than this, you did a nice job of formatting the article. If you can demonstrate notability, you should probably delete empty sections though. Tkotc (talk) 21:39, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This is a first version of an article about Dependence Logic, I would appreciate comments and suggestions. Thanks!

Hi I would like to add an article about "100Me" two electronic music producers and friends, I have attempted a neutral stand point and have added outside links (refrences) I have read through many of the help topics and think I have done the correct format, but am still unsure of the refrence links? Any help on correcting my mistakes would be gladly appreciated - I would like to help these two friends of myne and believe being on this site will, but want to get it right for them. Thanks in advance for anyone who has the time to respond.

The article is about netball in South Africa. It covers the national team's performance, a history of the sport during Apartheid and afterwards. It also covers major domestic competitions. I would like feedback on how to improve organization, flow and where the focus should be on adding new content.

I have written an article detailing the work of The Teacher Salary Project, a non-profit organization that is working to raise awareness surrounding teacher work conditions as well as salary and education reform across the US. The project includes a website, book, and film. The founders of the project are 826 National co-founder Ninive Calegari and writer Dave Eggers. I would love feedback and any suggestions concerning the article I currently have in my user page. I thank you for your help in getting this page moved to the main wikipedia space for other users to access.
