From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brief summary: My article contains the brief history and current information for San Francisco based record label Tricycle Records.

This article would be deletable because it doesn't appear to meet the WP:CORP criteria for inclusion. No independent secondary sources are cited to demonstrate that this company is notable. I recommend you move it to your user space User:Ekvenables/Tricycle Records and continue working on it there before it gets deleted. ~Amatulić (talk) 16:56, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Need assistance in slight tweaking of article to fit Wikipedia formatting. Thanks.

New article - please review

Hi, I previously created an article about Enomatic, that was deleted because of the username and the lack of reliable sources. Under my new username, I created the article again and would like to have your feedback about it. It's still a draft, so no worries, it won't come online before you've checked it. Thanks ! Hi, here are some quick comments based on a first look.
  • It needs a major rewrite. The article reads like a company brochure, with headings like "The Italian Story" and "Enomatic Innovation". It is still clearly written by someone with a conflict of interest. A conflict of interest isn't a bad thing, but a conflict of interest usually results in articles that look like puff pieces. Requesting feedback first is the correct way for a COI editor to develop an article. Thanks for doing that.
  • The lead is a good start, although its claim of notability is rather weak. Expanding "worldwide" to "over 70 countries" could easily mean the company has sold 1 unit in 70 countries. What does independent coverage say about this company and its products?
  • For that matter, what is notable? The company? Its product? Its CEO? Remember, notability is not inherited. Just because one thing is notable doesn't mean a related thing is notable. If the product is notable, it doesn't follow that the company is. Also see WP:CORP for further guidance about inclusion criteria.
  • You can't cite Wikipedia (or Wikipedias in other countries) as sources. User-generated content (like forums and wiki sites) and self-published sources (such as blogs) are not acceptable as references in an article.
  • The entire section called "Enomatic Innovation" is deletable, because it cites Wikipedia and primary sources. If this innovation is something notable, it needs to have significant coverage in multiple secondary sources that are independent of the company.
Please review the links I embedded in my comments, abbreviated here: WP:CORP, WP:SIGCOV, WP:NOTINHERITED. After you have acceptable content (assuming the article is salvageable after you read those guidelines), then ping me again or post another request for feedback on this page. ~Amatulić (talk) 16:24, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to have an editor review my new article on economist and mystery writer William L Breit.

He was a noteworthy economist and was unique in writing mystery novels that are solved with economic analysis. They were used often in college courses. He also led an important seminar series on the lives of Nobel Laurettes in economics.

Thank you

This is an article about World Hypnotism Day. The problem is, this is sort of a grassroots effort that has been growing since about 2005. There are no scholarly resources, but there are many website and several statewide proclamations. My first attempt at this found that my article got deleted. So, I made some revisions and now I'm reaching out to the Wiki community for assistance and guidance. Thank you!
