Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/King of Europe Series

I, Mprocureur, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Mprocureur (talk) 00:14, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Note: This page has been deleted multiple times as an abandoned draft article. As Articles for creation, the Draft space, and user subpages are not to be used to indefinitely host material inappropriate for the encyclopedia, what exactly would you do to help make the draft get accepted as an article? —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 00:51, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Not done @Mprocureur: This has been abandoned and deleted twice. The last time you requested the restore but didn't even edit it at all. Articles for Creation is not intended for permanent hosting of material. You'll need to tell us what you plan to do to address the reasons for the article being declined in the first place. I'm also worried about the contents - notability of an event such as this one needs to be evidenced (see this golden rule), and your entire submission was sourced to websites or material directly related to the subject. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 17:27, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about companies. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. kensei

Deleted due to puerile and culturally insensitive logic, namely lack of reference in Japanese dictionaries. The term 'kensei' in fact referenced in innumerable Japanese sources. Many common Chinese/Japanese "terms" will not be found in dictionaries for the very simple reason that such two-character "terms" may not be the equivalent of "compound words" in English but rather "phrases" or "figures of speech" that should not be expected to be in dictionaries in the first place. -121.44.28.231 (talk) 13:05, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

Please check out the Wikipedia:Verifiability policy, summarised as "any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source", and add references to confirm what this article says about the meaning of the term, or it may be nominated at WP:Articles for deletion. If there is a corresponding entry in the Japanese Wikipedia, you may be able to find references there. JohnCD (talk) 17:27, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

printsasia

I sincerely apologize for the inclusion of printsasia links in Journal as it was not intended to be promotional rather I was looking for the relevant wiki pages from where Printsasia page can be linked, so that it no longer remain orphan. The reason for choosing journal page was influenced by the fact that I see that currently no organization can provide journals from around the world. The gap recently got broaden with the bankruptcy of Swets. please refer to this article http://www.swets.com/news/notice-in-the-bankruptcy-of-swets-information-services-bv#.VJKy48lA1MF -Tony Johnsong (talk) 12:02, 18 December 2014 (UTC) Not even the big names like Amazon or Barnes & Nobles offer journal subscription service. Since Printsasia offer subscription services, so it looked to me that Printsasia's name in jorunal section will be 100% relevant and useful for many libraries worldwide.

However, if it appears to be promotional in nature I sincerely apologize for it and can assure you of being extra cautious in future.Request you to reconsider and include the page back in Wikipedia.}}

Evan Dimas Darmono

Requesting undeletion of Evan Dimas Darmono and re-create as a redirect to Evan Dimas. This page was initially deleted because of failing to meet WP:NFOOTY & WP:GNG but has since made his debut for the national team and therefore meets the notability standards. The Epic Question

I received the message that the page I had posted was set for a speedy deletion. To be honest I was quite surprised when I read this message. By the time I saw the message it appears that said page has already been deleted. I realize that a page posted on Wikipedia needs to demonstrate a certain level of legitimacy. Included on the page I created was links for the sources of my post. I realize that this company is not very large in comparison to many others. In fact they are quite small, and not well known. But I thought a tool such as Wikipedia was created to seek out new, old, and ever changing materials/information. Just because a company doesn't have millions of fans, and is not "Noteworthy" as the requirements stated. Doesn't justify the complete deletion of the page itself. This is an up and coming company that literally just starting putting things in place. When I heard about these guys and when I watched their old videos, and listened to their old podcasts. I was happy to try and play some part in getting their names out there for others to potentially see. As of right now I'm guessing no one from this organization cares enough to put it back up. Maybe if I donated some money or something, these poor guys wouldn't of had their very simple, generic page deleted. I hope they know that some of their fans tried. Most likely they wouldn't want to be a part of a fascist regime that only pays attention to the captains of industry anyways. I do apologize for taking up whomever's reading this. I realize these are "Company" requirements, and not necessarily the actions of one person. Maybe it was, perhaps it was @Deadbeef. I don't know, and at this point who cares. Thank you for giving me a platform to respond. Good luck to you all. Have a great Holiday Season!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Post Mortem Lover (talkcontribs)

Note: The page was speedily-deleted under criterion A7. Pages deleted under that criterion are generally not undeleted because they require complete rewrites to be viable encyclopedia articles or because they violate our biographical or fair-use policies. Donations don't help with an article what-so-ever (read: we don't treat donations as bribes or payola), and nor does having a million fans. The criteria for having an article is simple: If multiple third-party sources with editorial oversight have written about the company in depth, then we can have an article using said sources as sources.Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 04:10, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@Post Mortem Lover: Hi Post Mortem Lover. I can hear the resentment in your post though you restrained yourself well. It's misplaced. The thing is, ipso facto from its tenor, you are (like many people before you) unfamiliar with what it means that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, with all that that implies. An encyclopedia is a very specific type of reference work, the very nature of which is that it synthesizes already known things; it is a compendium of mainstream knowledge. As an encyclopedia, we can no more properly have an article on an "up and coming" topic that has not already been the subject of significant reliable publication out in the world, than a dictionary could properly provide a music database, or an atlas double as a thesaurus. That lack of familiarity with the fiber of the cloth this place is woven from led to your affront, but if you saw it as I do – step back and try to – what you were doing was trying to insert a list of word synonyms in our atlas; a short story in our bibliography; a map in our dictionary. The only difference is that the extreme incongruities I've used as examples is not as easy to detect for the uninitiated between a proper topic of an encyclopedia article – one that the world has taken note of by publication about it – and those they have not, and yet the differences between the two are just as profound. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:39, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
Also, to pick up on one of your comments: while donations to the Wikimedia Foundation are always welcome, they have absolutely no influence on content decisions. If you could buy an entry in Wikipedia, it would be worthless. JohnCD (talk) 12:24, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Roger E. Abramson

Enter your reasoning here and then click the "Save page" button below -69.84.100.231 (talk) 20:26, 18 December 2014 (UTC) Roger E. Abramson For several years, Roger Abramson has been listed in Wikipedia. He was a leading participant and factor in substantial changes and development in Civil Rights, Music and the Arts. All of his previous accomplishments and activities have been clearly documented in print and broadcast media. Every notation and mention in his previous Wikipedia listing has a reference with a date and name of media. If all of these media references are not indicated properly, then in a re-listing these will be edited and added to the listing page. 3 brief accomplishments include: The 21st person inducted into the Civil Rights Hall of Fame in Columbus, Ohio; an early concert producer of internationally known artists and attractions, including, The Metropolitan Opera, The New York City Ballet, Bob Dylan, The Doors, Jimi Hendryx, Janis Joplin, The Who and hundreds of other well known artists; and, Roger Abramson created 2 sculptures each made with over 30,000 seashells and are the most viewed sculptures in the history of Miami Beach. Very briefly, I have stated reasons that Roger Abramson should be subject to a deleted review and inturn have his page restored on Wikipedia. At your request, I will provide complete documentation in the restoring and re-listing Roger Abramson. would you advise providing media and other sources to having this listing undeleted. Thank You

Note: Surely you jest! No page's ever existed under that title (or any reasonable permutation of it) in any reasonable namespace! Are you sure that the page's title, capitalisation and all, is correct? Neither the title in the header nor any reasonable permutation of capitalisation, both in article and draft spaces, yields anything more than an unused title. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 21:02, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

@Petermowforth:  Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request to a new location at Draft:First Robot Olympics. This page has never been submitted for review; please edit it and submit it as soon as convenient; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Read WP:Your first article for advice, and note that references are necessary (a) because of the WP:Verifiability policy, and (b) to establish Wikipedia:Notability, which requires evidence of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Abid Yunus Khan

I am sorry if i had made any mistake i beg u to plz create -Abidyunuskhan (talk) 07:46, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

  • There really isn't much to restore, to be honest. The article's sole content appears to have been "Abid Yunus Khan is a well known Model and Actor from India/u.p/lko." I'd recommend starting afresh, although you will still need to show where he has received coverage in reliable sources per WP:RS. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:53, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

John B. Wells

If I understand correctly, John B. Wells was deleted using a PROD, and can be undeleted if any user requests undeletion. I, user:Ragityman, request the undeletion of the article John B. Wells. Thank you. I will attempt to provide the needed refs for notability, assuming the creator of the article did not respond to the notification on his/her talk page. If the page is totally beyond my ability to remedy, I will personally request deletion consideration. Having some familiarity with the subject matter, and having no ability to read the article as it existed at time of PROD, I feel it may very well be salvagable. Rags (talk) 09:02, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

I have added the {{revisions}} template, for ease of admin perusal. No comment on the request itself. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 09:19, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

Hello,

I request to undelete the article about Cappustimo. This is a real drink that is served in the south of the Netherlands. It is true that there are no online references yet except a Facebook page.

With writing this article there is no financial benefit. The article give's a description has to prepare this drink. Anyone can make this drink based on the description.

When it is served in more places people will look for information on the internet / wikipedia. just like I do when I want to know more about new things. Wikipeadia is not only for old things.

So please undelete this article.

Kind regards,

I've put the link in to the deleted page. I would point User:Artasium to the note I've left on his talk page. Peridon (talk) 21:16, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
@Artasium:  Not done. Wikipedia has an inclusion test called Wikipedia:Notability which asks for evidence of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." See also WP:Notability (summary). The test is, have people not connected with the subject thought it important or significant enough to write substantial comment about? This idea was only invented this month, and it is clear that it is not yet notable in this sense. Sorry, but Wikipedia is not a place to introduce new ideas to the world.
Even if your idea takes off and becomes notable, you should leave it to someone else to write about it here, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU. JohnCD (talk) 21:40, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

List of chronologies of works of fiction

Contrary to what @Secret: said in his speedy delete --- the speed of which gave me no time to put forward my views and contest this deletion --- the links in this page are not randomly selected, though perhaps I could have explained the point of the article better. This page --- which I had intended to develop upon and refine further, had I been given a chance --- is meant to contain Wikipedia pages that satisfy 3 main conditions, namely : pages containing (1) a thematic list (2) arranged in chronological order (3) of works of fiction. The scope is to provide thematic encyclopaedic chronologies that map the evolution and history of fiction. Additionally, there is no violation of WP:NOT or any other Wikipedia rules. Furthermore, lists of works definitely have a place in Wikipedia, and indeed, Wikipedia already has a fair number of related lists and categories. I have tried to resolve the matter with @Secret:, but this closing administrator has refused to consider the matter further, and has now retired from Wikipedia. - Joe Gatt (talk) 22:39, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Big Three (University of California), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Deor (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. This looks to be an uncontroversial close, so don't expect any change by consulting the closer or from a deletion review. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:42, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Not done I'm sorry, but the article was far too promotional to restore. Phrases like "blessed with a soulful voice" and "He can make music out of anything from plates to pots" should be avoided and the article should be written in a neutral, encyclopedic point of view. I have no problem with you making a new version, but the prior version would have to be completely re-written to meet NPOV guidelines. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:44, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Also, you should probably read over our WP:COI guidelines, as your name suggests that you are trying to write an autobiography, which is highly discouraged. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:45, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

Even if you file a ticket through WP:ORTS, you would still have to re-write it in order to fit Wikipedia's NPOV policies and basic style guidelines, so the best thing to do here is to just start a new version in your own words. The Page Nadeem Sarwar was Deleted because of copyright violation but I've created the page with different name ( Nadeem Sarwar (Noha Khwan) which doesn't violates any rights.

  • The whole of the article was essentially "Khan's Tutorial has been founded by Dr. Mansurul Khan (phd, although discipline is unverified). They claim to have been open for over fifteen years, however the true date of foundation is somewhere around 2001." You'd have to show far more information about the foundation and provide reliable sources, but I also have to strongly warn you that the tone of the previous version of the article sounded like it was ramping up to be an expose of the foundation. Wikipedia is WP:NOT a news website or blog to be used in this manner. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:54, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Not done This is due to several reasons. First is that the page is written in such a promotional, casual manner that you will have to re-write it entirely in order to pass NPOV guidelines. Secondly, the article reads suspiciously like a copyright violation and this is somewhat confirmed by one of the sentences matching a phrase from this Crunchbase entry. Finally, I don't see where the article really expands on Business intelligence or Business Intelligence 2.0- and the latter looks like it could be speedied as an advertisement itself. I'm sorry, but as it was the draftspace article has no place on Wikipedia. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:51, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
