File:Hartlepool United FC.png

Is there any chance (way?) of restoring File:Hartlepool United FC.png as I want to include it back in the history of the Hartlepool F.C. page? It is pretty central to the article. I can add/amend to a valid rationale too if need be Abcmaxx (talk) 23:13, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

Azmi Haq (2)

Azmi Haq be undeleted based on the fact that he is a prominent Pakistani actor and political figure. You also checked the notability guidelines for people and he meets that criteria based on the cult following his television dramas have in Pakistan and the fact that he is often taped by media for political commentary. I had previously submitted the request to your kind office and the page was undeleted, but now when we checked again, it's again deleted. Kindly undelete it at the earliest as all the facts are truly presented. You can check his current activity on his website i.e www.saloncamden.com

If there is any information required to undelete this page, we will be happy to assist you.

Who is "we"?
Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Azmi Haq (2nd nomination), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Tone (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:02, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
The only reason this page was undeleted last time was because the AfD that led to its deletion had low participation. That isn't the case this time. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:27, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

Hi, could you please restore Draft:openHAB to my user discussion page or send me the wiki source code via e-mail? I'd like to save the wiki source and work on it maybe in other Wikis. Lucidchart

The deleted page was an overview of Lucidchart. Lucidchart is a cloud-based flowchart and diagraming software. The reason for deletion was originally stated as "Unambiguous advertising or promotion". The intent of the article was not promotional in nature. —66.60.102.226 (talk) 22:47, 22 October 2018 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted as-is here; try contacting the deleting administrator (RHaworth (talk · contribs)). Alternatively, you may request the page be restored as a draft or to have the contents of its last known revision emailed to you provided you have email enabled in your account's preferences. It doesn't matter what the intent was; if the text of the article was noticeably biased in its favour then G11 applies. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 23:05, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
Hmm... I'm kinda disturbed that the article has a long history with many contributors. Generally I'm hesitant to speedy-delete those, although I have on occasion. @Dlohcierekim: when you tagged this with G11, did you see anything salvageable? ~Anachronist (talk) 16:28, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
@Anachronist: I know what you mean and I hate tagging something with that many edits. But no, I found only promospam. It sometimes comes to pass that promocruft exists for years before being caught. Also, I cannot see into the heart of the article's creator. They might honestly not know the difference between encyclopedic and promotional writing. It also sometimes comes about that said content is passed over in hopes that someone might improve it. I see an edit summary from 2016, "again, cited solely to the product website - not encyclopedic info".-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 17:10, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. Looking at older revisions in the deleted history, I agree that while it isn't blatantly promotional in tone, the points emphasized and the citations make it come off like a product brochure, making it seem like the intent was to use Wikipedia as a publicity platform. I recommend the requester create an account, disclose any association with Lucid Chart, and start over in draft space, submitting it for review via WP:AFC. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:34, 23 October 2018 (UTC)

I thought it seemed like a notable topic, so I spent a bit of time to draft a new version, from scratch. I do not consider my version to be promotional.

2nd The Seoul Awards

The page was created by a blocked user, however i believe the topic has notability and i would like to improve on the content and citations if it is restored. —43.239.79.36 (talk) 13:34, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

Not done. All of the information in the deleted article is already in the main article The Seoul Awards (but organized differently). I suggest you improve on that article instead. I am skeptical that the second occurrence has sufficient notability all on its own to justify a stand-alone article separate from the main topic. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:26, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

Cycling Without Age

Article was speedily deleted under article G12. Indeed, the first version of the article was created with an entire paragraph lifted from the organisation's website, triggering the speedy delete. This was done by a novice user, and I attempted to save the article by re-writing it in its entirety. I published this new version of the article, which was free from any copyright violation, and I posted in the Talk page. However, it looks like I must not have followed the correct procedure in contesting the deletion, as the page is gone - along with my completely rewritten version. Are you able to undelete and/or review my version? Or can it be userified? I would rather not start from scratch. Thank you —RadishSlice talk 00:49, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Ethics of animal research

I am asking that this page be undeleted on the premises that the conditions it was deleted were inaccurate. It was deleted under section A10 (for the criteria of a speedy deletion): "This applies to any recently created article with no relevant page history that duplicates an existing English Wikipedia topic, and that does not expand upon, detail or improve information within any existing article(s) on the subject, and where the title is not a plausible redirect." I believe that the article I submitted greatly expanded on the philosophical debates surrounding the ethics of animal testing. I went into sufficient detail only from the philosophical side with plenty of references to show that this is a stem of ethics within the philosophical community. When the article was deleted under A10 I was redirected to "Animal Testing #ethics" which only offers a few sentences on the viewpoints of a few philosophers (and only ones against animal testing) and the rest about different types of experimentation and animals that were used that sparked protest- a different angle to the one that i provided; which focused purely on going into depth on the philosophical moral arguments. I believe at minimum that the content i provided would have fit under content to be merged: "This does not include split pages or any article that expands or reorganizes an existing one or that contains referenced, merge able material. It also does not include disambiguation pages."
I also want to express my disappointment upon going to the lengths to research appropriate philosophical content for this article only for it to be quickly deleted without discussion or any formal deletion process. I am a relatively new writer to wikipedia having this process formally overlooked by my university. I have taken special care not to do any of the above reasons for which my article was deleted.--ExistentialMariachi (talk) 23:34, 25 October 2018 (UTC) —ExistentialMariachi (talk) 23:34, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

I see, you restored the history and then protected it so it can't be made live again. That makes sense. Jytdog (talk) 18:04, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the ping. I have no particular opinion about the deletion, although taking it to draft space sounds like a good idea. The main issue I would point out from past experience is that the subject area has historically attracted a lot of opinion pushing, sometimes with an anti-science, pro-animal rights, POV. Obviously, that needs to be avoided here. --Tryptofish (talk) 23:07, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Laura Petela

I see no reason why the article was deleted after being published for many years. Just because the subject is a former child actress does not make her less worthy of an article. She starred in a major UK tv series based on the works of Enid Blyton (The Famous Five) which has a cult following. The page has proved useful to fans of the series to find out what she is currently doing —13ten (talk) 23:34, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Cum Town

Was deleted for being a "patreon funded meme podcast with no 3rd party coverage." While it's true the podcast is patreon-funded, that alone is not reason for deletion. The podcast did in fact receive third party coverage--such as from reliable sources such as Vox and The Guardian. This is a popular podcast with a very large fan base and is certainly relevant. —ModerateMike729 (talk) 02:05, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Hello! My name is Cryptic and I'll be your decliner today.
Not done – this page was deleted as a blatant advertisement under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia is not to be used as a vehicle for promotion. This does not necessarily mean a suitable article on this topic cannot be created. If it is a notable topic, e.g., multiple reliable, secondary, published sources that are entirely independent of the subject have written about it in substantive detail (not just mere mentions), then a neutrally written article may be possible. This one was written like a commercial.
Succintly, this and your two following requests were indistinguishable from marketing or other bullshit; and, just like the big box at the top of the screen told you when you edited this page, they won't be undeleted here. —Cryptic 15:01, 3 November 2018 (UTC)

I request Azmi Haq be undeleted based on the fact that he is a prominent Pakistani actor and political figure. You also checked the notability guidelines for people and he meets that criteria based on the cult following his television dramas have in Pakistan and the fact that he is often taped by media for political commentary.

Looking forward for the undeletion of this page.

Kind Regards, Shah Azeem Naqvi

  • Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. I cheerfully undeleted this a couple of months ago, but another AFD debate was conclusive. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:37, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

Done – as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. Please edit the page to address any issues raised, and re-submit it; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia.

A page about this is at User:Kcdabeatmonster/Kc da beatmonster. Please read WP:Autobiography. Wikipedia is not for advertising. If your work gets written up in misic magazines or newspapers, or some books are published about you, then there will be material to use to write an article. https://www.hiphopcanada.com/550-masquerade-video/ has a mention of kc da beatmonster, but it is merely a mention and nothing to write an article about. Talk:The Plug Entertainment

This talk page was mistakenly deleted due to messy page moves. After restoring, the page should then be moved to Draft talk:The Plug Entertainment. —GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 20:03, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

Sora Choi

By now, Choi has enough of her own notability and reliable sources to have a page that doesn’t redirect to Korea’s Next Top Model. Normally I would do it manually, but since there’s an abandoned draft I can fix that to Wikipedian standards. Trillfendi (talk) 06:31, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

= User:PorkchopGMX/userpage

In March 2018, i made some edits to this page and it was deleted for speedy deletion requested by me. While this is my userpage, I want the other revisions to be restored, and if you can’t find any on that page look on User:PorkchopGMX872 instead. Thank you! PorkchopGMX (Sign your posts with four tildes!) 03:50, 7 November 2018 (UTC) —PorkchopGMX (Sign your posts with four tildes!) 03:50, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

The user page User:PorkchopGMX872 was moved to User:Porkchop Sr. and the userpage was moved to User:PorkchopGMX/userpage.css. It appears that only redirects have been deleted. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 06:58, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
Look at the deleted edits on both pages, I think there’s still some edits there. I’m pretty sure it’s PorkchopGMX872. PorkchopGMX (Sign your posts with four tildes!) 07:14, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
What I’m talking about is Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions/Archive_733#Moving_userpage_to_userpage. In this case, PorkchopGMX2 is me and PorkchopGMX is PorkchopGMX872. After being notified that my ttt subpage is a case of WP:NOT, I for some reason tagged the ttt with U5 CSD. And then User:PorkchopGMX872 (User:PorkchopGMX at the time) got deleted. Hope this helps. PorkchopGMX (Sign your posts with four tildes!) 07:26, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
@Graeme Bartlett: Well it looks like that you have to look at the logs of just User:PorkchopGMX (as target). On March 7, the page was deleted. Could you restore those revisions from that time? PorkchopGMX (Sign your posts with four tildes!) 07:37, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
@Graeme Bartlett: See here. PorkchopGMX (Sign your posts with four tildes!) 07:43, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
OK there is some content prior to the redirect, written by user:PorkchopGMX872 Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:00, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

File:Yalghar.jpg

It was deleted per f5 but was connected to Yalghaar, actually some unexperienced editor by mistake removes it from article and after seven days it was deleted assuming orphaned. Please undelete it —119.160.118.67 (talk) 12:41, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

Marloes Horst

A 2 second Wikipedia search can show you just how notable she is without even having an article, as a cover girl and as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model by itself. Anyway, there are more than enough reliable sources out there to verify her notability in other areas. Someone just didn’t do their due dilligence. I can fix this page. Trance Fury - deletion recovery

I would like to respectfully request the undeletion/recovery of the Trance Fury article. I believe it was rather quickly deleted and needs to be edited to help cite additional sources. It is a valid artist who needs a little cleanup and is working with a Grammy nominated engineer on his upcoming album. Thank you for your time. —Fury88 (talk) 16:20, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

Kelly Mittendorf

Even though model is mostly retired, her career certainly has notability and there are many reliable sources such as Vogue and New York Times to prove that. Page was previous deleted as A7 and someone said it read like an advertisement but I can easily fix that. —Trillfendi (talk) 19:00, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

Note: The page was deleted as a result of a deletion debate. Admins will not undelete pages that were deleted with discussion here; go to WP:Deletion review or contact the administrator that closed the deletion debate instead. None of what you listed meets WP:Notability, WP:Notability (people), WP:NPOL, or WP:NMUSIC. This also confirms to me the request above is indeed related to that AfD discussion, which precludes it being undeleted here. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 01:42, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
