Propose merging Template:Turkish cuisine with Template:Cuisine of Turkey.
the sidebar template is redundant to the navbox and should be merged. the navbox does a much better job at providing navigation, while not taking up space which could be used for images, and prose. for an example of the problem, see pilaf, where we have many sidebars/infoboxes, and redundant linking with both the sidebar and the navbox on the same page. I propose merging the two templates, with the final merged template being a navbox, like Template:Cuisine of Cyprus. I also think we should strongly consider doing the same with the other sidebars for consistency. Frietjes (talk) 16:06, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support merger into Template:Cuisine of Turkey. These types of massive cuisine templates are only good for a few of the major articles anyway. Their appearance in articles like Rize Tea is just overwhelming. The collapsibles are frustrating too. Plus, they sort of look like food magazine covers. • Support merger into Template:Cuisine of Turkey. The massive side bar detracts from the article header. The Navbar has a better sense of proportion: if you have read the article and want more info, ... For the same reasons, I agree that the other countries cuisines should be handled the same. jmcw (talk) 10:02, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
