Not a typical template, of course, but still. The map is a result of unsourced changes, and there is no explanation of what the map is really supposed to show. But most importantly, it cannot be maintained due to the huge scope it tries to cover. It now truly violates WP:IINFO, as it is an "indiscriminate collection of information", with a random selection of places which often change color on the whim of the editors. It is compeltely misleading and thus unecyclopedic. (Cf. Italy and other European countries compared to the number of affected cities.) WikiHannibal (talk) 11:03, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
- Delete. These maps are indeed misleading as their captions suggest that every city that is affected by the outbreak is shown, but a lot of cities are actually missing. Furthermore, it is unclear what qualifies as an (affected) city, making inclusion/exclusion of a place highly subjective. ― Ætoms [talk] 11:39, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
- Delete - this template, like many of the other coronavirus-related templates linked in Template:2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, are used in an incorrect way. The first very bullet point in WP:TG says that templates are not used to store article content - this template (and the others linked in that navbox) do exactly that. This template is also not used (read: transcluded) in any article. The template should be deleted, and the content either merged into the article (if there is consensus for it) or just deleted altogether, like any other piece of content which does not have consensus. As a side note: navigation templates are not used to link to templates in main space. --Gonnym (talk) 11:45, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
