This article describes the installation of WPCleaner with a computer running Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 and OpenJDK 6.
This installation has been done in the following conditions :
- Operating system Ubuntu Desktop 12.04, up to date.
- « OpenJDK Java 6 Runtime » and « IcedTea Java Web Start » installed through Ubuntu Software Center.
- No other software installed.
To install WPCleaner :
- Start Firefox.
- In the address bar, input http://site4145.mutu.sivit.org/WikiCleaner/WikiCleaner.jnlp address, and validate.
- A window is displayed asking what Firefox should do with the file. Check « Open with », select « IcedTea Java Web Start », then click on « OK ».
- The installation automatically starts with Java Web Start.
- After a few moments, a windows is displayed asking if you want to execute the application. Check the « Always trust contents coming from this editor » box, then click on « Execute ».
- After a few moments, a window is displayed asking if you allow the creation of a desktop launcher. Click on « Allow ».
- The installation finishes, an icon is created on the desktop.
- WPCleaner automatically starts, the main window is displayed.
- An additional window may be displayed to know which is your main wiki.
