[edit]

hello,

My friend by mistake submitted an article. Now how can i remove it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kamthamc (talkcontribs) 03:59, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

 Fixed Submission deactivated. Bmusician 04:26, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My photo went up nicely, but there's this weird bug floating to its side that says:

300 Charles Christopher Hill

The caption is fine as is. How can I get rid of this text (it has a link under the 300). It does not show up in the edit version, just on the screen.

(my page is: Charles Christopher Hill) Thanks Marilyn Nix (talk) 06:55, 18 April 2012 (UTC)Marilyn[reply]

keep being refused :-(

[edit]

Dear all,

I've been trying to add an article for Danish artist Niels Strøbek. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Niels Strøbek.

It keeps getting refused, even though I've added all the references I could.

Can anyone help me out??

Thanks a lot!

I have created a page - Web Hosting UK Ltd. Some changes were suggested by one of the moderators - Zach Vega. There were some disembarkation links present in the article that were removed. When I click on the link of the page, it shows 'Articles for creation'; however when I checked in the Articles for creation / submissions list, I don't see the Web Hosting UK Ltd. article in que. It would be great if someone can update me on the status of this article.

Thank you

Yes, it is currently pending review. You can tell by the status of the "AFC submission" box- yellow is pending review, and red is declined. A412 (TalkC) 22:39, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Am I able to add graphics or photos to the submission prior to approval or must I wait until I am notified of an approval or denial? Usefultype (talk) 16:34, 18 April 2012 (UTC)Usefultype[reply]

You can add graphics/photos at any time, regardless of the submission status of the article. If you need help, see Wikipedia:Picture tutorial. A412 (TalkC) 22:49, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Assistance in establishing notability for a my page's topic

[edit]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for Creation/Reel_Rock_Film_Tour http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Reel_Rock_Film_Tour Hello!

I am attempting to create a wiki page for one of my company's subsidiaries. It is called the Reel Rock Film Tour (www.reelrockfilmtour.com) (http://www.facebook.com/REELROCK) and it is an internationally known film compilation of outdoor adventure films. They range from rock climbing to slack lining to BASE jumping. The reason it is so popular is that it features the best athletes the world has to offer and it travels around the world for everyone to be able to see it. It has screened on all 7 continents with nearly 300 screenings a year. However, much of the information I would like to use in the article is from Reel Rock's own website or our own tracking sheets of the tour's logistics. How can I best establish to notability of this event and still use reliable sources? Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,

You already have a list in the main article.  Which article would you like deleted?  When your first name is Walt, and last name Disney, then we can talk.  :- ) DCS 13:51, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! You keep telling me that my article is a hoax, but THE CHRONICLE OF HIGHER EDUCATION thinks that it is legitimate enough to be mentioned and discussed, so why don't you. I've done everything I can to make you like me and my article that for shome bizarre reason, you won;t publish... COME ON!! I'm legitamately trying here. WHAT CAN I DO????!!!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ebarry5 (talkcontribs) 19:24, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct that it is factual, but I afraid it still would not be right for Wikipedia. We are not a dictionary, so we don't publish neologisms. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 20:47, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I have changed the decline reason. While it may be factual, the problem is that it is a neologism. See the policy on them. A412 (TalkC) 22:37, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I find your system impossible to communicate with. I am offering serious theoretic physics, and want to know if there is a better way, or category on your site, to situate it. "Nullspeeds in General Relativity". This has been exceedingly difficult to deal with. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.42.52.167 (talk) 22:32, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I too find it rather frustrating at times.  There are no categories per sec, the same person that reviews Happy Cakes, reviews General Relativity.  But most of us are not dummies and will find the appropriate assistance.  You have some minor formatting problems, I think I can fix those faster than a faster than light neutrino.  Looks is not everything, but it can't hurt.  Good luck this time around.  :- ) DCS 14:05, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. We also have a math library that may be of use to your article.  It is located here>WP:MATH<.  :- ) DCS 14:23, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I no longer even read the four inline refs I put in. This is chaos, they reviewed the wrong edition.
